Re: José Mourinho's Return to Real Madrid
Indeed, I didn't say he was horrible as he won the coppa. I just said he was a low point (Mazzarri also won the coppa).
This was also pre-Allegri time when we just didn't go for the coppa.

Mourinho to Madrid seems natural choice. Solari is getting sacked. Mou to build another PTB team imo.

Re: José Mourinho's Return to Real Madrid
I don't think Florentino will stay beyond 2021 if he hires Mourinho. The socios have watched him turn a WC team into an average one by refusing to make any big signings and selling his best player.
Hiring a specialist in failure after all that could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. They might demand his head after that.

Even though I supported Jose in his first year at Man United and even in the 2nd (and not necessarily because I was a fan of how we played), after what he's done at the club he doesn't deserve to get a better job than Fulham.

Yea I saw that. And That is the surprising part. Arent they seeing the guy will only bring problems. May be he was not this bad when he was at Real before i don’t know. But current Mourinho has too much of an ego problem, it’s unbearable. He can only work well with 29 year old grafters who will lap up everything he says without questioning. The Perisic’s and Fellaini’s of this world. He will drive everyone else crazy to the point they will fking leave the club for real, the flair players, the young players.
The difference from the time he fked off to now, I mean it can’t be more glaring. The players he deemed not good enough are all playing well and are proving how clueless the guy is. The team that conceded 30 plus goals after that has only let in 6 or 7.
The only saving grace (for Madrid fans if he is indeed appointed) is towards the end with us, it felt he was doing everything on purpose. Intentionally fking up to get the sack. So, may be he isn’t total shit and can still pick up if both the board and the players give him complete support. But that’s a big if. And I don’t think a club of the size of Madrid should be taking that risk.

Re: José Mourinho's Return to Real Madrid
Not sure if a top club will hire him right now, look at how he left his last 3 clubs. A shit show every time.
Mourinho is obsolete. Not well adapted for the new generation of players, the millenials, the "i'm above you all" approach is not respected. Despite it was proven to be effective in the past, nowadays his tactics are more a guarantee of having boring games and unhappy players, than a guarantee of success.
A stint in a smaller club (or Qatar, Portugal NT, etc) could humble him a bit and he'd come back stronger.

Re: José Mourinho's Return to Real Madrid
That would make him our second interim manager in a season. Pochettino was right in questioning our manager hiring policy, and I can't blame managers for not wanting to come here. You'd think the ship was steered by an indecisive 10 year old. Can't take this shit seriously anymore. Luckily, the source is "Goal.com understands", so there's still hope that this is just a blatant fabrication.

Re: José Mourinho's Return to Real Madrid
It's sportmediaset in Italy saying that Mourinho will be appointed... I don't know their credibility but Madrid medias don't say that at all.
All main Madrid medias say the same, Perez wants Zidane to come back, he called him, and Zidane did not give an answer yet. Mourinho is not first choice eventhough some of our directors want him to be appointed.

He had a lot of successes in a lot of places and his "us vs the world" is a great tactic that a lot of people fall in love with.

AS is extremely dodgy, Marca hit and misses but I do believe Mourinho is one of Perez's choices. That I can agree on.

What has that got to do with his viability of his performance as manager in 2018 though?
BRB getting R9 to come out of retirement to save my striker problem IMO.

The article from AS is written by Tomas Roncero who has never broken any news about Madrid. He is a clown literally, known for his extremes reactions on El chiringuito. He is not reliable
The Marca article is saying that Mourinho is a potential candidate, not that he will be appointed on Monday
Again due to the convergence of stories from the traditionally reliable medias in Spain, the story is that Perez contacted Zidane first and Zizou did not give an answer. Mourinho is also being considered because he is available. The problem is that Perez would want someone to come in right away to finish the season because they don't think Solari can continue.
