Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Bournemouth have been disappointing. Liverpool's shape seemed to confuse them early on and they've yet to produce anything worthwhile in the final third. Every attack has broken down whenever Stanislas has gotten the ball. Lewis Cook and Wilson have been big misses for them.

A bit of boring game to start with but I guess that is more down to Bournemouth than Liverpool ! Although we are playing in a very controlled fashion knowing that we have very difficult fixtures in the next few days.

We are the only team in the PL yet to concede from a header this season, and we scored the most goals from corners of all teams. It seems like every time the opposing team has a free kick they get caught offside by our high line. Set piece specialists

As a Lyon fan I would say, he has shown glimpses of of what is to come but havent set anything on fire till now. He can be great for Liverpool if he can be consistent without injuries throughout the season.

Now that's a legit Salah goal.
What's the story behind his non-celebrations?

These goals are too small for him to celebrate, he had 44 last season tbh.

Tbh he's been injured most of the season. Last game was his first start after injuries and he got MOTM

Salah not celebrating as if he is a martyr is getting on my nerves. You've only had one good season with us so far and not a very good one so far. Celebrate with the team or perform more often.
And Bournemouth are a terrible team. 23 points slapped on the team is well above their weight.

According to the stats, they're actually exactly where they should be. Picking up points against all the scrubs in the league (of which there are many), but losing against the big sides, placing them firmly in upper-mid-table.

Keita is a spectacular player who hasn't quite arrived in Liverpool's team yet, in part due to injury, but he will soon enough. Awesome player who's stunning to watch.
Being played as a left attacking midfielder in a 4-4-2 doesn't help though and is rather odd.

I usually do not follow stats as such but that is very convincing and deserved, if so. Just a massive disparity between the top and bottom teams it seems.

Have bought this up a couple of times. Hate Klopp playing him wide since the other 2 (Gini, Fab) are deep lying CDMs

Typical weak non Brexit player being saddled with excuses smh.
Wouldn't catch James Milner being so weak to struggle playing out of position.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Bournemouth's squad has peaked this season, hence their good performances so far. Their position is deserved, in so far as their chance creation has been excellent (better than Arsenal's, for example) and their forwards have converted those chances, but it's likely not replicable. All those players that came up from the Championship (Steve Cook, Charlie Daniels, Andrew Surman, Josh King, Junior Stanislas, etc.) are peaking as players after four years in the PL and will likely decline soon.
But even as they improve, their record signings cost £30m, which is nothing for top clubs these days. PL's top six have even more expensive players than that sitting on their benches. The difference is vast. I think that's why the rest of the league looks bad these days, even though the overall level of player quality, coach quality and performance has gone up considerably. There're less points for mid-table to fight for now.

Matip is such a beast with the ball and passing, it's only a shame his defending looks rusty but he hasn't played regularly for like 2 years

0-3 Mane.
Bouremouth are a team without any plan tonight. But thanks for the points boys.
@Jay, I am aware of the reason behind the table polarity but admittedly not too much insight into Bouremouth and the corners behind their rise in the PL. If this is the case It would be lovely to see them hold this up even if they are bound to regress as you predict. Lovely insight.
