Started well. Rightfully got the penalty, then should have at least scored once more when we had the momentum. Iwobi wasted many good potential chances.
And then Sokratis with a ridiculously silly challenge leading to a Spurs free kick with a scruffy offside line from our side leading to a goal for Spurs which could have been called for offside on another day, but I really don't like our high offside line on free kicks.
And then Mike Dean happened for their penalty call.

I'm guessing everyone is still catching their breath from the game, Haha.
What a game, Auba repaying every single penny, Laca doing his job like a boss and Torreria
This was such a passionate game and we couldn't be prouder of the players

Re: Arsenal v Tottenham
Certainly one of our more emotional performances. Haven't seen this much emotion since... Spurs at home last season, I guess.
We had a clear plan in the first half to target Serge Aurier and thought we executed it brilliantly. However, Spurs' diamond troubled our midfield two and their third-man runs were a big threat. That's probably why Emery subbed off Iwobi and Mkhitaryan and brought on Ramsey and Lacazette. Ramsey gave us an extra body in midfield while Lacazette shuffled out to the right flank to give Bellerin better cover vs Son. Son was notably much less effective in the second half.
I worried in the first half because we let Spurs' celebrations rile us. Holding dived in when he didn't need to and gave Mike Dean a chance to call a pen against us despite there being no contact. Mustafi was making mistimed tackles, we were giving away cheap fouls and struggled to get control back. Thankfully, we seemed to settle down and finished the half strong.
Second half changed completely after Auba's goal. Laca's goal was a bit lucky but at that point, the crowd were up, the players were up and Spurs were wilting. Torreira's goal was just the icing on the cake.
Now we need to go to Old Trafford on Wednesday and come away with something. Somehow, losing that game would feel so much worse than losing this one.

Re: Arsenal v Tottenham
Just noticed how many Arsenal fans Tottenham have in their team, Aurier, Sissoko, Kane etc...

Re: Arsenal v Tottenham
what a game
with better players we could have done more damage in first 20 mins
but Emery first NLD turning to a memorable one like Arsene's

Re: Arsenal v Tottenham
With Mustafi potentially tweaking something, it's doubtful we'll see the back three again on Wednesday. It'll be Sokratis-Holding, which is arguably our strongest pairing at the moment.
Guendouzi probably comes in for XHAKA, and I can see Auba and Laca starting together.

Sri and Raps not active as they used to be.
RG away on a trip.
Trust me, all gooners worldwide were thoroughly buzzed with this win in the space of their homes, bars, pubs with their friends and families, or maybe even by lonesome like I did

I may not be active in posting, due to a host of reasons, but I do regularly lurk and I did thoroughly enjoy seeing the result later that evening once I was home.

Re: Arsenal v Tottenham
I've rewatched the game once and seen the goals numerous times. That Torreira goal still gives my chills. Haven't see the Emirates go that crazy since Barcelona in 2011.

Rewatched
its strange when you look back, once our intensity drops we cant keep the ball/win the ball back in final 3rd and they get in behind number of times
Emery's in game management much better than i expected
Ramsey's impact even better in 2nd watch,what a cameo
