Journalist Jamal Khashoggi dies under suspicious circumstances in Saudi consulate in Turkey
Saudi are in some deep shit now. Honestly how stupid do you have to be to kill someone in your own consulate?

They are indeed yet something tells me WWE won't pull out of their PPV event that's upcoming. Vince is waiting this out to see what happens.

Pride and arrogance makes stupidity come out. Hope this erases the facade of the "progressive" crown prince.

They are offering 60m for them to bring Rock. They'll just up their money if Vince decides to pull out.

US will stand by them; Saudi has bombed schools, hospitals, weddings, playground, etc in Yemen.
There is no disillusionment about the Saudi regime among US government. They will likely get public condemnation, and things will go back to business as usual.

Re: Journalist Jamal Khashoggi dies under suspicious circumstances in Saudi consulate in Turkey
So Saudi finally admitted that Khashoggi was killed. But their defence is that 'it was an accident' and interrogation gone too far.
Now Turkish officials have confirmed that his body was cut into pieces. Wonder if that was accidentally too.
Disgusting how a country that has the biggest hand in spreading hatred in the Arab world, containing some of the most extremist islamic version of ideology and also having majority of the hijackers involved in 9/11 walks free every single time.

Re: Journalist Jamal Khashoggi dies under suspicious circumstances in Saudi consulate in Turkey
Saudi is a rogue state, religious fanatics, got rich on polluting the whole planet, conducted 9/11 with impunity while 2 other countries get invaded and completely destroyed for it, represses women to a ridiculous degree with impunity, dictatorial state, kleptocracy, appalling human rights record, financing and supporting terrorism in the whole world, destablizing the whole region with direct or indirect military involvement, quasi-genocidal war in Yemen, has a hand in running ISIS and probably is behind at least one of the gas attacks in Syria, now killing a journalist while the world is watching, on foreign soil..
They're basically the no. 1 most villainous country in the world.
and what do WE do?
We shake their hands, grin, and sell them all kinds of weapons, tanks, rifles, boats, planes, missile systems, what have you, for billions of $$$$, year in year out.

Great read
Turns out Saudi were more afraid of Khashoggi exposing their corruption and higher level power struggle than his criticism towards the country

Maybe the Saudis were encouraged by assassinations by Russia that lead to little concrete consequences...
Money talks. Saudi Arabia will be told how naughty they were, but economically nothing will change. Business as usual.

Ugh, we talk politics politics politics, but do we truly truly know what's going in the world, and who are pulling the strings?
I don't think we do. Pointless to get beat up by these stuff imo.
All the world's a stage.

Re: Journalist Jamal Khashoggi dies under suspicious circumstances in Saudi consulate in Turkey
It took seven minutes for Jamal Khashoggi to die, a Turkish source who has listened in full to an audio recording of the Saudi journalist's last moments told Middle East Eye.
Khashoggi was dragged from the Consul General’s office at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and onto the table of his study next door, the Turkish source said.
Horrendous screams were then heard by a witness downstairs, the source said.
"The consul himself was taken out of the room. There was no attempt to interrogate him. They had come to kill him,” the source told MEE.
The screaming stopped when Khashoggi - who was last seen entering the Saudi consulate on 2 October - was injected with an as yet unknown substance.
Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy, who has been identified as the head of forensic evidence in the Saudi general security department, was one of the 15-member squad who arrived in Ankara earlier that day on a private jet.
Tubaigy began to cut Khashoggi’s body up on a table in the study while he was still alive, the Turkish source said.
The killing took seven minutes, the source said.
As he started to dismember the body, Tubaigy put on earphones and listened to music. He advised other members of the squad to do the same.
“When I do this job, I listen to music. You should do [that] too,” Tubaigy was recorded as saying, the source told MEE.
A three-minute version of the audio tape has been given to Turkish newspaper Sabah, but they have yet to release it.
BREAKING: Trump tells AP that Saudi Arabia being blamed for missing journalist is another case of "guilty until proven innocent."

scary shit, there may be some distancing and comments from western countries but it'll all be surface level shit while they wait for it all to blow over. Oil relationship is too vital.

Holy shit. They did it on foreign soil. Torturing a journalist to death for exposing the family secrets.

It is really sad that leaders of the free world would shut their eyes and ears to Saudi's crimes as long as they give them money.

Re: Journalist Jamal Khashoggi dies under suspicious circumstances in Saudi consulate in Turkey
If the leaked audio reports of torture and murder acquired by Turkish intelligence are indeed true and exist, then Erdogan has got MBS by the balls. He's playing it perfectly (if the leaks are true) and squeezing every last bit of embarrassment for MBS. The Saudis don't know what to do, if the leaks don't appear within a week and Saudis say they don't exist and then he drops them, then it's GG.
Erdogan always had ambition to be the leader of Umma and man of the SUnni world. Here is his best chance for that. On the other hand, he can make a deal with US who'll be desperate to save MBS. Erdogan can get US to hand Gulen or stop supporting SDF, in return of Turkey not releasing evidence and basically just let it go.
Fascinating couple of weeks ahead.

Jamal Khashoggi case: Saudi Arabia says journalist killed in fist fight
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-45923217
So a fist fight resulted in a headlock which killed Khashoggi. But right then someone appeared with a bone saw and cut his body into pieces...?
seems legit

Story changing every few days. MBS investigating, distancing himself and firing people involved like he didn't green-light the entire thing. Will get away with it too after using these scapegoats and then the world will move on. Life is cheaper than dirt to most people in power.

Legit *bleep* Saudi, we share an oil field with Iran since they are our neighbors and there are borders and territories and they tell us to stop sharing it. We can't, Iran is a neighboring country, cant tell them to f off. Then they blockade us, MBS isn't the problem here guys, the true evil is MBZ, he's the one controlling the strings, he kills family members for fun to avoid succession, all the UAE monarchs like Al-Maktoum and Al Jabri are good people whome we had businesses with, but MBZ is the one true evil. He has MBS in his pocket, MBS owes him a huge debt, he is the one orchestrating the war in Yemen.
