a bunch of unmotivated lazy frightened scrubs naming themselves a team.

actually Barca didn't play that good. after 3-1 we just gave up.

if it was Pep's Barca we could've lost 10-1 and i'm not joking.

In the other thrashings, Barca were just really damn good. Strange to say, but they weren't really that impressive its just that Madrid was super shit. Prime Pep vs Floptegui would be a massacre of the highest order Laughing

Dafuq, what's with all this Barca weren't that good talk? bar the first 15-20 mins for the second half, we were pretty damn impressive. Our midfield was dominant, as were our full backs and attack. And EV did a great job at making changes to neutralize Reals second half reassurance. People acting like we were doing crap all game and somehow ended up with 5 goals.

Agreed with Windkick!!! Our performance is underrated

Also I don't think we were that impressive in the 4-0 win back in 2015. If I recall correctly it was a similar performance to this one. Not overwhelmingly dominant like Pep's Barca but controlled the game pretty much from start to finish.

Watched the post-match interview with Catalonian Barca fans emphasizing how much they hope R.Madrid keep Lopetegui, and keep fielding Benzema. I honestly thought this was one of Benzema's better performances of the season. He didn't score, but he hardly lost possession, and he definitely wasn't one of our worst players.

At no point he was a threat to our goal and he's a CF. I get that all those jokes are just jokes but he literally is like a DM forced to play in a forward's position. Take a lesson from Suarez. Always dribbling, trying sneaky moves in the box, shooting from all angles and positions to make the keeper uneasy. That's what a striker does. Benzema offers none of that.

Well, I think there are few people on this forum who still expect him to score goals on a regular basis. He's a starter, regardless of what he does, so I'm happy when he manages to keep possesion of the ball. If he scores as well, that's great.

Yeah, I mean this was probably one of Benz's better performances lately, but the bar is SOOOOOO SOO low, that it really doesn't take much.

During the match we really needed a ruthless striker to make the best of a few chances, Benz had a few and blew them all, but that is the norm for him. Under performs xG, nothing new.

I'm counting down the days until his departure. A useless player who doesn't contribute with anything and is one of the main reasons why we're struggling so bad for goals.

Every single season I try to make myself believe it's his last, but I know eventually he'll outlast us all.

can anyone remember someone who scored that kind of suarez header? i remember someone scoring a goal like that, similar motion but can't remember who or where i saw it.

Regarding Benzema again, I ask if it were any other lesser strikers leading Reals attack though, u wouldnt even be able to make as many chances with him? Just an example if u start Diaz or put another one of the players in Benzema's position, Im 100% sure he would create or score more goals than Benzema. Perhaps Benzema is more suited to playing as a second striker or whatever, and Real need to but a real no.9 who is clinical.
