Klopp has this bubble deflecting all criticism put on by a lot of people as if he was working miracles at Liverpool.
He has finished 8th, 4th and 4th. It's been 3 seasons, 6 transfer transfer windows and a ton of money spent. Making Liverpool a title contender is really difficult of course and it looks like he is finally doing it, but it took 3 years and this is still hypothetical.
The Mourinho that we all rightfully make fun of beat him last season. A smaller team, Spurs, beat him every season. Chelsea was finished, revived by Conte and won the league in the first season. Rainieri won the league with Leicester city when Klopp was there.
These things matter. His charisma can only take him so far, Liverpool needs to start winning. At the very least they need to make the podium. His squad is better than Chelsea's and he got 1 loss and 1 draw vs them so far and got kicked out of a cup already.
He is doing a good job, but let's stop acting like he is a god and Unique is crazy for criticizing him.
Liverpool talking about the winning title is same as Sampdoria talking about winning the title, we last won in the 1980s. Just because we finish 2nd once every 10 years doesn't mean a manager is going to come in and magically make us win the title. We Liverpool fans don't have that agenda, I don't understand why other fans do. Unique has seen many trophies so he's correct to have that agenda or hope.
Leicester winning the PL was a one off, won't happen for a long time.

Ridiculous comparison, Sampdoria don't spend 150 million.

Regardless, its ultimately that Liverpool has done nothing in the past 20 years to be labeled as contenders that just a change of manager equals winning the Premier league.
btw I have the Sturridge goal on rewind and i am in awe, how can someone do that out of nothing?

WAT
Sampdoria don't even spend money, they operate at a profit in the transfer market. Meanwhile Liverpool has record signings in two positions and a record breaking forward.
This is exactly the huge double standard I referred to.

The double standard is people like Unique expecting to win the league just based on a manager change for a team that has achieved nothing in the past 20 years.

Every time Unique posts anything negative about Klopp he gets shot down as if its heresy.
I don't think he expects to win the league, he posted in this thread that Liverpool has no chance to win the league this season. The problem is that Klopp's tenure gets treated as if he is working these huge miracles at Liverpool while he finishes below Mounited.
Liverpool have an ambitious project and have made huge moves in the market to not be seen as a Sampdoria. At some point you can't have it both ways, Liverpool cannot be a poor, financially incapable, small club, while at the same time making moves to rival the richest teams in the world.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
How the heck can you compare it to Sampdoria? You can't even compare it to Napoli, but more so an Inter or a Milan in Serie A and for them to win the league, it wouldn't be far fetched.
Everyone knows Pool has bottled their league chances multiple times in this same 20 year stretch, it's as if saying Juventus has never been close to the Champions League in the same time because of our own inability to win finals.
When Leicester can win the league, a team like Liverpool most certainly can with the players and manager they have. Record signing keeper, defender, midfielder and the best attack since prime Suarez. Ya'll dismantled last season's league winners in the Champions League and now you act like you lost the league in September because of a draw away to Chelsea, what a time to be alive

Well, I can't blame my club for being rich. I've supported them through an era where we touched adminstration. Ultimately it's about reality, we don't have the team or reach to get the players to win the league by a breeze. City does and that's that.
Unique has some points that everyone including me agrees to, it's not like we ignore him lmao. You and unique have forgotten that we beat Spurs and PSG in the space of 4 days and now managed a result at the Bridge out of nothing. We are doing great and there is no need for negativity when midfield isn't at half strength as well.

Also when will people realize Leicester winning the PL is not a norm and was something that will happen maybe once in the next 15 years again.

Around the time you don't act like Pool is a team of underdogs on a modest budget #coutinhomoney

Yeah City does, so it probably means that City should be favorites to win the league. It doesn't mean that it's outrageous to expect a challenge from Liverpool. City, for all their money, have lost 3 of the last 4 leagues. If an average Chelsea side can win it right away, and LEICESTER won it, then so can you.
We are deep into no excuses territory.

Who said this Chelsea side will win the title lmao? The fact they didn't win today is a prime example why they won't win it, they can't finish games off.

Ffs was late to delete the post.
Well back on it, the Chelsea side imo already had PL winners in the squad, all they needed was direction.
