Also I hope for no injuries on both sides, we deserve a proper title change compared to the shit we’ve seen in the last few years.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
I wouldn't make any assumptions on who is gonna win the league tbh, it's still too early. We don't know if Liverpool can keep being this consistent for rest of the season. We don't know if City will be as consistent as last season. We don't know if Chelsea can keep doing what they are doing now. We don't know if Mourinho will go batshit crazy and win 20 games in a row, or Kane scores 40 goals and brings them the glory. This is the PL, anything can happen, and this early into the season is too early to say imo.
inb4 Auba+Laca score 100 goals and Ozil gets 70 assists and Arsenal wins the title.

That's our Achilles Heel. There are times (specially when the going is good) we tend to switch-off.urbaNRoots wrote:Helmer wrote:urbaNRoots wrote:There‘s no stopping Liverpool, hope they go all the way tbh.
oh, mentality is a big thing and in my opinion we are still very susceptible. I guess we will know more about this team, when things start going wrong.
What is wrong with Liverpool’s mentality? We saw it in full view against PSG, they have the mentality to push through and win a game even when things don’t go as well as expected.
Attack is amazing but probably still second best to City, defense is statistically the best in the league, midfield can still improve when Keita, Fabinho are fully integrated but even someone like Wijnaldum has stepped up and is performing at an elite level. It’s all there.
We’ll see how consistent Liverpool are going to be though because Pep’s teams rarely drop points against weaker opposition and Liverpool have to keep up with that.

Thoroughly dominant performance by Liverpool. This is almost a Bayern-like showing. Against poor opposition of course.

what a goal from Moutinho, unstoppable
Pogba does a skill move and gets dispossesed in midfield and it leads to the goal..albeit a lot of movement between that and the goal lol

Disagree with the diagnosis.
The actual core of what's going wrong in these games is poor chance conversion, not some bad mentality

Can Man U do no better than Linedelof and Shaw on the left side of defense? They both suck horribly.

crazy to think how all these years later we still have a lack of creative players in the final third
Pogba's our best but after him it's Lukaku ffs, no faith we can nick late goals

Just the way he estimated the awkward bounce of that very heavily rotating ball earlier in the first half. How he moved just into the right spot to receive it. The little things. His sense of balance in positioning.
Amazing player.

Lukaku is not average at all, if anything it’s Alexis Sanchez who is average these days. There’s no upside to his game anymore.

yeah it's disheartening that Mou has to persist with him, he offers like one decent pass a game and is a passenger the rest, we basically play every game nowadays with 10 men.
