Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Yeah but Sarri plays Kante too forward, he looks lost in his new position. He looks like he's being asked to play in a role he isn't comfortable in. In his previous role he was world class and now he looks average, Kante is being wasted there. Kante just isn't good on the ball, if you ask him to do anything more than winning the ball and passing it to other creative players he becomes useless. You can see how uncomfortable Kante is so further up the field, so often he has to play around the RW area and around the final third and he looks utterly lost there. Right now for me at least it seems Kante has no position in a Sarri team.

Yeah but none of that would be an issue if Jorginho was better at defended his space and paying attention to what's behind him.
That's the issue here.

That doesn't change anything for Kante being wasted though. And Jorginho is not suddenly gonna become a defensive beast.

It's obvious why Jorginho is deep for Sarri. Kovacic can run better with the ball from deep than Kante. This could be one of the reasons for playing Kovacic besides Jorginho and letting Kante more upfield as most advanced mid out of those 3. Maybe Kante will grow more into that role but for now I don't see it.

Tbh I can't think of many things Ramsey does better than Dele, and at this point in his career he basically plays the same position. Personally I'd allow it

Watching Man Utd vs Derby in the cup.
United took the lead after 3 mins and have sat on it since. 10 mins into the second half and it's all Derby.
Mason Mount is really good. As an England fan, I'm desperate for Sarri to get his hands on him.

Romero sent off for handball outside the area.
Still 23 minutes to go, too. Derby could win this.
United fans will be glad to know Fellaini was sent on to get you a goal, as usual.

More surreal, Utd is playing much better with 10 men. What is wrong with this team?

Jack Marriott's first goal for Derby is a winner at Old Trafford. Not bad for someone playing in League 1 last season.
United though... this isn't a weak team they've put out tonight. Bailley, Young, Matic, Martial, Lingard and Lukaku all started.

Derby win 8-7 on pens. Would have been harsh for them to go out tbh.
Phil Jones missed the only pen.

It's the cacao cup. I'd be happy if it was Liverpool going out against Derby. The most pointless competition in football. Hoping we lose tomorrow.

The "it's the Carabao Cup" excuse doesn't really work when you start a near full strength eleven and get outplayed at home by a Championship side.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
This was probably the worst tactical display I've ever seen at Man United...the whole performance was just..I have no words. Every single player except Martial played like a brainless chicken. Zero defense, zero midfield, zero attack...we had nothing, full chaos. Lingard, Romero, Jones, Lukaku, Matic...those were the worst.

Sure it‘s the Carabao Cup, but it‘s the only trophy Mourinho could‘ve realistically won this season.
