Wolverhampton Watch Empty Wolverhampton Watch

Post by Hapless_Hans Wed 8 Aug 2018 - 17:27

The Wolves have been promoted and, due to their Chinese owner's strangely intimate connection with Jorge Mendes' Gestifute, sound pretty much like a Portuguese top team, having no less than 7 Portuguese players in their squad, among them top youngster Neves and now  veteran Joao Moutinho.
Coached by ex-Porto manager Nuno, they have now signed ex-La Masia muscle speedster Adama Traore, loaned ex-Celta Spanish international full back and spendidly named Jonny Castro from Atletico.
Today, they're on the verge of signing Dendoncker, City's Zinchenko and Man Utd's Rojo.

There's one word to describe this:
AMBITION.

How will they fare in the PL?

I think a top 10 finish is realistic. I can even see them beating Everton and Burnley to place 7.

At least we will be able to answer the question- how would FC Porto/ Benfica/ Sporting do in the Premier League.

on paper they have a better team than Arsenal IMO

don't @ me

wouldn't shock me if they compete with the likes of Chelsea for an EL spot this season tbh

but it also wouldnt surprise me if they didnt live up to the hype and finished below Newcastle

Dendoncker has a solid amount of hype in Belgium but the league is shit so you never know. Will be exciting to watch.
