Bookies actually gave very good odds for Belgium win here, surprised since basically everyone thought Belgium would win Very Happy

This game clearly showed EPL is foreign stars then local players Razz

Congrats to Belgium, they had a very good WC, if it werent for the close loss to France they pretty well could have won it. Hoping they can keep it going and try again in the next Euro perhaps.

England has been poor in this game and in the WC generally, just some of them performed really, not even a goal in the traditionally high scoring game vs a not that great defense...

I'm going to be that guy and im pretty sure Mole Jay etc would disagree with me but facing Croatia in the SF of a WC was one of the best chances they would ever get and they should be winning that.

I think England was fine. They have 2 big flaws... no goalscoring threat other than Kane and a midfield that's not very good. I think they maximized their potential in this WC. Can I see them make it this far again with this group? No unless the draw is this favorable again. But they certainly had a very good WC.

The disappointing components were Rashford and Delle Ali to me. I expected more from both.

I don't disagree, really. We played very well in that first half and had the chances to win the game. It just wasn't to be.

That, and it so happened our big weakness came up against Croatia's big strength and it showed.

Finishing 4th is good. It's the most successful off-shore England team since 1990 even though the squad is full of scrubs.

And 1990 had some proper ballers too so to match them is a pretty big deal. Well done to both teams particularly England, made the WC just a bit more entertaining.

Have you noticed the difference in Belgium, this year vs 2 years ago in euros. basically same team with a much better coach,

Who says coach isn’t important? (Said from one disgrunted espanol)
