Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion
People said the same about Sane last season and he soon started every game.
Unless Mahrez is amazing week in week out I really don't see him benching him.
Also this whole Mendy likes to stay wide stuff would be a moot point considering he spent loads of time inside today also if Pep really cared about it Mahrez would have played on the left not Sterling.
Also if Bernado Silva is to bench David Silva he'll have to play a lot better than he did today, he barely impacted the game at all until De Bruyne came on.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion
Hard to tell about Arsenal. It's City...they're probably going to lose whether it's Emery or Wenger or what. I thought the team looked better organized in general than with Wenger, although offensively they often looked lost to me. He also put some young numpty in the middle who was awful the entire game. Guendozi, was it?
You can say Arsenal could have done better with their chances, but City had even more and easier chances
Overall...idk. It certainly wasn't the impressive performance that one would have hoped, but it's the first week after a world cup with a new manager. It's irresponsible, to me, to really judge anything about the upcoming season within the first couple weeks here.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion
Arsenal is going to struggle in the beginning, adaptation to Emery tactic is going to take time and they really don't have the individual quality to overcome that.
As for City, nothing really changes my opinion of them. I think they are very beatable side and see them struggling in cup competitions. But over 38 games, they will be difficult due to the firepower and depth they have.
Title will be between Pool and City, and Chelsea being a darkhorse.

That's what I said, Mendy wasn't out wide the whole game but when Mendy was playing out wide he played great, when he was playing inside he looked shaky and he was losing the ball in midfield on multiple occasions, he also looked really shocking and clumsy defensively
Bernando Silva played good for me, but yeah Pep likes to rotate so there are no true starting 11 but I can see Bernardo having a bigger presence in David's role this season

Just realized City's next 6 matches are against the 3 promoted teams this year + 3 promoted teams last year.
Unreal for building momentum....dat hype when they'are 21/21 by the end of September

Never thought I'd see the day Arsenal being at the top of these lists
I suppose it's a sign of things to come.

Hopefully i haven't jinxed him but Lichsteiner is definitely one of our best signing this season.
What a character. Love him already. Every interview he gives and how he acts on the pitch. Wish we signed him sooner.

Madley, from West Yorkshire, was on Fifa’s list and the Premier League had high hopes he would become one of the leading referees in Europe.
He was not involved during the first weekend of this Premier League season and a statement from the PGMOL said: “Bobby Madley is no longer employed by us. We understand that he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances.”

I mean, there's definitely the possibility of you being entertained by us losing but if you're hoping to see good football in a game of Mourinho vs Brighton I think you may as well just skip that game m8
