Basically, combined we have paid 30M for both Szczesny and Perin. I think that's quite good in today's market

I think they'll compete. Best case scenario is Szczesny or Perin locks down the starting spot without any doubts and the remaining keeper is sold or loaned out next summer. I don't think this is harmful and at 50 matches per season, I would rather see us spend 15M on a back up then go the frugal route and play Pinsoglio away to Bayern if it comes down to it

Next season it's Szczesny #1 to start for sure. During the season if he screws up then it can change. After that then more competition is expected, depending on how it evolves. That's Marotta's plan at least.

Probably within 2 seasons one will be the winner and the other one will be sold.

Both were got way too cheap.

Welcome to Juve.

Marchetti just did his medical at Genoa as his replacement.

A bit of a strange move but will likely be great in sporting terms and also financially since I believe one of them will be sold within 2 seasons or so.

It feels weird to think about uncertainty of GKs after almost 20 years of Buffon.
