I understand now why they struggled to qualify, Argentina are truly shite.
Feel sorry for BC tbh.

Je Je, and to think some of you said Argentina would stop us and I (correctly) said, Argentina would be lucky to get out of their group.

I'm honestly sad. The WC is a worse tournament with Messi and Argentina not in it... it's a shame.
This is all on the coach. They have better players than most of the other teams in the WC.

Honestly it would have been better if they didn't even qualify if this is all they can offer to the tournament tbh.

Sampaoli you legend. You give Higuain and Dybala 20min each and play scrubs like Meza.

The last 10 minutes were so cringeworthy I thought I was watching The Office.

Great game for Croatia
Sorry for BC
I want to say sorry for Messi but he doesn’t do anything on the field to warrant sympathy anymore
Such a defeatist attitude at 1-0, kind of disgusting. 90 minutes and didn’t make a chance against Vida-Lovren, time to re-evaluate your lives. Can’t do anything with that midfield

One of the worst coaching performances I've seen. Grotesquely bad set up, and then announces it beforehand in order to get owned twice as bad.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
Blame lies entirely on Sampaoli. At least previous managers had the sense to play players who can compete at top level. Players like Meza, random#1 random#2 belong in intertoto cup. Not World Cup.
Awful management.

Guys like Masche Meza and Otamendi made so many wrong passes it was awful. Sampaoli again chose some mediocre players over stars like Dybala Higuain or even Di Maria.
They should have gone all in right from the start and they didn't even do shit after Caballero's masterpiece. Didn't deserve better tbh.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
Oh man... being a Messi fan, there is no denying this time, its really too evident and so bad his performance at this WC. Its like he doesnt even try, not sure if hes giving up due to his teammates or tactics clearly not working, or its himself problem, its really really disappointing. Most other Argentina players at least tried and gave their effort without doing anything effective, but still thats what fans demand and like to see at least.
Croatia could really be a dark horse for this WC, their tactics were very good in this game, took advantage of pressing the defense and dominating the midfield obviously, and defending very well also.
So happy to see Rakitic who is just the supporting cast at Barca and sometimes even the scapegoat, but he was the main star today and worked his socks off as usual pressing and competing and winning everything, and with Modric displayed they are two of the best players around, prefect goals from them to score like that.
So now Argentina is definitely out or do they still have a chance?

Btw, if Iceland win tomorrow , you can be 200% sure Croatia and Iceland play out a draw in the final game.

If Iceland win tomorrow then Croatia will take it easy. Brozo suspended, Mandzukic surely rested, Rebic rested (injured?), Vrsaljko on a yellow, etc.
