Re: E3 2018
I'm glad I didn't stay up to watch Sony's event because it wasn't all that exciting. That intermission following The Last of Us Part 2 trailer would have sent me straight to sleep. Most conferences this year have been very trailer focussed and the last thing I would have wanted is a couple of random guys giving commentary on what we just saw. It was very awkwardly handled.
That said, Sony delivered what they promised and the games all look great. Ghosts of Tsushima caught my eye the most with its scenery and colours, which I much prefer to the dreary colours that a lot of Sony's games are using right now. Death Stranding was just *bleep* weird - maybe too weird.

Re: E3 2018
Probably the first E3 that I've followed closely in years. Was really good overall.
FIFA 19, Anthem, AC Odyssey, and Sea of Solitude are all on my to-get list.
I'm probably going to get a Switch within the next few months so I'll tune into Nintendo's conference.
There's also good a chance I'll have a PS4 by the time most of these come out next year so Spiderman is definitely on that list.

This was a good Sony conference. A little diluted because they announced these games without a shred of gameplay or detail in years before.
In my opinion, a company should be allowed one teaser per e3, with all the rest showing enough detail to assure release within the same year or the next.

Re: E3 2018
Metroid Prime 4 is my only interest with regards to Nintendo, i hope they dial it back to Metroid Prim 1/2 where you were alone on a desolate planet with no help. The feeling and ambience was one of the best. One of my fav games. 3 was good, but not as good as 1/2, the planet hopping and Federation stuff i didn't like.
Really hope we see it tonight

Re: E3 2018
Also, as a Destiny fan, that Forsaken trailer was ridiculously good. Killing off a major character in the game, and arguably its most popular, is very risky. The darker tone is very much akin to Taken King, which signaled D1's comeback. It looks like Bungie are hoping that Forsaken will do the same with D2.
I'm not so sure though. D2 has far more severe issues than D1 had at this point in its life cycle. The distrust from the fanbase is far worse and the roadmap Bungie put out of what to expect from Forsaken is pretty light on details. I hope this is enough to turn the corner, but given they are already working on D3, something says it won't be.

Maybe i'm dreaming too much but i'm hoping to see Retro's new game and a teaser for 2019 Pokemon.
That would satisfy me if they show anything about Metroid as well that would be awesome.

Nintendo didn't show much. Got a title, release window and some gameplay for the new Fire Emblem game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC for anyone who played it, Super Mario Party and some new ports and indies. Other than that, it was 20 minutes of the new Smash.
There was something new called Daemon X Machina if you're into mechs.

It basically seemed like a glorified Smash video.
Wasn't impressed.

Re: E3 2018
It certainly wasn't the big showcase you'd expect for E3, but Nintendo will likely have more Directs throughout the year where they can drop more title when they're ready.

Re: E3 2018
Nintendo's conference was weaker than other years.
I think year 2 for the Switch is specifically geared for those that didn't own a Wii U, otherwise its very sparse. I predict that the 3rd year of the Switch will be as packed as its first.
One thing for certain though, The Switch is playing on being the perfect companion console, but not going to be any gamer's only console.

I think they could have shown some 2019 things and I know this is controversial but I almost wish they did.

Nintendo said they would focus on current year (which fiscally includes Spring 2019). Typically, they use Directs throughout the year to expand on their release Schedule.

Control, by Remedy, has a “Metroidvania” style open world https://t.co/MQCmCgzLEN

Re: E3 2018
Actually found something interesting in E3, From Ashes DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and now it's probably right time to pull trigger on the game, as bugs have been squashed and it's only like 20€ on key sites.
I'm also highly interested in these announced games in E3 2018:
From Ashes (KDC DLC)
End of list.
