Nope, this result is not surprising. Again, this is a team that is motivated by winning stuff, not playing Spurs in october in wemblay. they were trying to coast this, spurs kicked their asses, they will be a little mad today but will forget tomorrow.

If you needed any conformation that the referees are out to get us this season, Carvajal is about to get a 2 match suspension for taking his time during a throw in getting a yellow which means he is suspended for the next game. We aren't talking Ramos/Xabi level stupidity here, it was a damn throw, how many players take their time during throw ins and get nothing. Pique got a deliberate yellow two seasons ago and didn't get a ban which has created a precedent but knowing these refs, they'll charge him and then charge anyone that speaks out
