Future President of Jamaica scores early in the 2nd half, let the gates open and send Mainz back to the promised land (second division), oh Praise de lord!

He is a powerful looking lad and it was a powerful shot that he took, he looked up at the goal and meant to do it, but it did take a slight deflection. Not sure I am totally on the hype train for him yet, but he looks confident at the moment.
I think Ox Chamberlain was like that when he was younger?

very good comparison but Bailey looks a lot more like a goal scorer and more creative. Similar style though.

The big signing for the Bundesliga should start today! From the few times I have seen him play, I think Batshuayi is a decent player, maybe he will turn out good, like so many Chelsea rejects (de Bruyne, Lukaku, Robben, Marko Marin etc).

Should Dortmund actually lose today, I can see the Managerial Merry go round spinning again and Stoger getting pushed off. Which will of course open up a chance for Felix to manage the only team in the Bundesliga he has yet to manage (I dont think he managed BVB).

Köln - Dortmund (Fr.)
Stoger coming back home and should he lose, he will be going back home to Austria. It is freezing cold on the iceberg today, so I may stay in and drink small glasses of beer to celebrate this game.

Hertha - Hoffenheim (Sa.)
Hoff has been raped one more time, this time Schalke took Uth, though it is not happening until the summer, those are the worst kind of acts of rape.

Freiburg - Leverkusen
The Pretenders are kind of a hot team now.

Schalke - Bremen
I would take a draw here, though the optimistic side of me thinks Werder can win.

Mainz - Bayern
Meh, just get it over with.

Wolfsburg - Stuttgart
A lot of "historical" clubs are hovering around relegation this year- vfB, Werder, HSV, Koln and I will say Wolfsburg, though i dont think they will get relegated and I dont consider them a historical club.

M'gladbach - Leipzig
Probably the most interesting game of the weekend.

Augsburg - Frankfurt (So.)
Actually, Eintracht are the hottest club at the moment.

Hamburg - Hannover
Be happy to see both of them get relegated

Batshuayi scores on his debut! All the hard work was done by Tolijan, but great start for the biggest signing of the Winter transfer market.

Tolijan again sets up Batshuayi, but VAR correctly calls him offside. Maybe Tolijan is J-Low's answer for left back?
The commentators were talking earlier about him becoming American.

Credit to Koln for trying hard to the end, they made a good game of it, but Schurrle wins it for BVB. He might just be on J-Low's list for Russia.

Fantastic last half hour to this game. Schürrle did become the match winner, but he got lucky as his shot wouldn't have beaten Horn without that deflection.
In reality, he made the wrong decision and only luck prevented him messing up a great counter.

I'd say there's a good chance Horn might play for BVB next season, Bürki surely has used up any credit and overdraft by now.
There's just too many howlers in him for a top team GK

Burkki was bad, which made for an exciting game.

I woud like to see the Schurrle shot again, I thought the commentators were wrong when they said it was deflected, looked kind of like Schurrle tried to shoot in the corner by "knuckle balling" it?

Nah if I saw it right he shot straight at Horn yet it was deflected to curve over Horn. Terrible decision to shoot in that situation, two teammates were alone before the goal for a pass but he waited too long.

I have a feeling Batshuayi is gonna rejuvenate his career in Germany and another EPL club is gonna make a bid, thinking Liverpool tbh.

The tv game on the Iceberg is of course the Bayern game, the least interesting game of the week. Bayern resting Kimmich, Alaba, Lewa Robben. Wagner starting. Have to see if I can find a Russian stream of the Werder game.

Mainz put up a commendable fight, but after the first Ausi sponsored goal by Ribery (nice shot from outside the box through a dozen legs) it was time to brush up on my Russian and find a stream of the Bremen v Schalke game. Kind of wish I had not, yes it is only 1-0 for Schalke and there is time and you never know what can hap... oh wait take it back 1-1!!!!
Game on!

Should be "Audi" sponsored goal, they do this thing with the audi emblem and it makes it look like gooooal, works in Spanish and German, but not French or Italian. Anyhow, was originally typing how Werder was showing no sign of scoring and Schalke looked more likely to score -Guido had just missed a good chacne- before Werder scored and all of a sudden started to make a game of it. So much so that they scored a nice/sloppy goal in the 93 min. Nice lob over the defender, than a possible foul as I think it was Eggestein nutmegged the keeper, followed up Junozovic managing to get the ball over the line. But who cares, they all count and as it stands, Bremen are out of the drop zone, getting points in the second hardest place to do so.

Other results

Hertha - Hoffenheim (Sa.) 1:1 (0:1)

Freiburg - Leverkusen 0:0 (0:0)
Apparently a choppy game with lots of cards.

Schalke - Bremen 1:2 (1:0)
Good win for Werder. Max Kruse for the NT?

Mainz - Bayern 0:2 (0:2)

Wolfsburg - Stuttgart 1:1 (1:0)
Why yes, Super Mario did score

I still think Schurlle's goal yesterday was a clean shot that he meant to do regardless of the video evidence I have seen.

here is the video evidence of the Bremen winner

Yes, this is a big deal in my world today.

Naby Keita looks like he wished he was in Liverpool now and not just by his poor play, looks like he wants to get red carded.
