Why is United paying crazy money for players that aren't worth it?

I mean I would understand if you splashed 200m on Messi. But 120m for Pogba and god knows how much for Lukaku? Jesus, slow down!

Also, if you're willing to pay that much, why not add a few extra millions and go for Mbappe?

And it's really baffling coming from a guy who used to be so meticulous and careful with transfers in the past. Is Mou getting desperate?

75m initial fee. 15m add ons. 10m Rooney. That's 100m for Lukaku. Errrrrr........

On the other hand though, I worry about Morata's effectiveness overall. I worry about his mentality too. Seems to be a fragile player mentally.

I'd take Belotti but the fact that he has only one great season under his belt makes him a bit of a gamble. Then again Mbappe has just one great season and the hype machine is in overdrive for him. I like Belotti's overall game a lot more than Morata. I wish we were in for him right now rather than Morata.

If your choices was £80m for Morata or £100m for Lukaku... you'd probably stump up the extra and get Lukaku. It's crazy but United aren't going to be effected much by spending that much at once.

If you're getting him for rotation purposes then fine. But if you're going to make him your starter, he'll slowly kill you.

Christ. I'd started to come around to the idea of him, thinking perhaps other factors hindered his performances at Madrid. Especially considering how much of a beast he was at Porto. Wasn't he rated higher than Sandro at the time?

So I guess expecting him to reach that height in the PL and CL is a pipe dream. Oh boy...

I don't think Danilo is necceasarily that bad, but he can be a clown at times.

He was really good at Porto though and showed glimpses of that in some games in Madrid. If Conte can make him play like that again, why not

I didn't watch him at Porto, except for that one game against Bayern where he went god mode.

But at Madrid, and except for few games where he played at LB, I was never satisfied with his performances. Not one bit.

I don't mind having him as a back-up RB to Carvajal. But I would be completely opposed to having him play regularly for us. He's a walking disaster with amateurish positioning, mediocre defending skills and dreadful crosses.

The difference between him and Carvajal is like day and night.

Maybe the pressure at Madrid got to him, and maybe he would improve if he moved elsewhere. But I honestly have my doubts about that.

I really hope Costa stays with you guys for the sake of La Liga.

The Madrid derby was a living hell with him around. The two teams couldn't string two passes in a row without him throwing a tantrum, or elbowing somebody or yelling at the referee.

He's one of the dirtiest, most ill-mannered and annoying players I have ever seen.

I hope Atlético doesn't bring him back to Spain.
