2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I

Without Salah, I can see EDF playing El Shaarawy more over Perotti to get a more direct forward.
Really feel like this is a make or break season for SES. A real chance to stake his claim for that LW spot. I've seen pundits go back and forth of whether EDF will prefer him over Perotti though so that's a toss up as far as I'm concerned.

In other news, looks like we're probably going to pick up Maxime Gonalons from Lyon. Not a particularly exciting move, if it happens, but the fee (somewhere around 5m to 9m has been reported) and his experience make this a deal we may not be able to pass up.
I heard he's been terrible for Lyon though recently, but not sure if that's just him wanting greener pastures.

please can Bundesliga followers give an insight on what kind of player Canaloglu is? he's strengths and weaknesses, his style of play, everything. All I know is he's a dead ball specialist

I like Sandro Ramirez, he is a hard worker, has good technique, doesn't always make the right runs but he'll be a good back up player if Morata leaves though a downgrade. Besides he celebrated when he scored against Barca last season so he passes the Madridismo test

An all arounder who is not only creative but also a goal threat, is versatile enough to play as an attacking midfielder, left, right or center. He works hard defensively and is no stranger to pressing high up the pitch (thanks to Roger Schmidt).
If you want to compare with another player, I'd say he plays similarly to someone like Kevin de Bruyne.

A better version of Ramsey or Wilshere, slightly better than being a scrub, doesn't have the effectiveness of De Bruyne or the speed of playing in the wings. He is a CAM who is fairly versatile, is a reasonable player but is mostly good with FK's n stuff. Okay for a mid-table team.
Frankly Leverkusen should be happy to sell him. They can do better, the new 17 year old kid is a much bigger talent. It is good business to sell him !

You're absolutely clueless mate. Next you will try to convince us that Gnabry wasn't a West Brom reject.

Free kick specialist.
In every other aspect of the game he is far from being a specialist. Can't wait to see Chiello destroy him.

Sky Italia - Manolas to Zenit appears to have stalled because he doesn't want to be paid in rubles, given how unstable it is currently. As such, he didn't turn up for his medical this morning.
Gianluca Di Marzio - Paredes has agreed to move to Zenit and is expected to fly from Argentina for his medical soon. This further fuels reports that Gonalons will fly in next week for his medical. 5-5.5m is the fee we're expected to pay for him.

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini is due to undergo a medical with AC Milan on Thursday ahead of a move worth £5.3m (€6m).
Sky Italia understand an agreement between Milan and Sunderland has been reached for the striker although this is yet to be officially confirmed.
good signing for milan about his level tbh.

I have no idea why Leverkusen would sell Calhanoglu.
I wouldn't say his absence was the cause, but it sure coincided with their season completely breaking down.
For his age, he has had a pretty important role. I don't think he has the tectical intelligence and presence to become a true top player but he would surely be a huge acquisition for Milan

Shame, I heard that Giaccherini and Pategna were available. Milan could've had quite the team going forward if they played this market right.

It is obvious Borini is only being signed for depth. I doubt he sees much game time aside from the Coppa Italia. Sure he is pure shit and we could have done better but Montella has his reasons for approving such a transfer. It's only going to be an Ocampos situation with even lesser minutes.
I still expect us to sign an attacker or two for the starting line up

Borini could be a late bloomer who just needs the right coach you never know.
