Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Terrible team selection and we all knew it right away. That first half was gutless and total, utter shit. But that referee could have been blind and had a better game. How could anyone on the face of the earth argue Can shouldn't have been sent off? And how many clear dives did they get freekicks for? We did not deserve a win but we would have got points if not for that asshat completely robbing us.
We are never the team that gets the bullshit calls in big games. I seeiously question the integrity of these referees who consistently help other top teams in every big game but not us, never us. Everything English has become a joke in this game, they can't even call a game ffs.
As for us, Coquelin's a fraud, Xhaka has overall been a shit signing though he has some potential, our defence which in theory is our best backline in years is somehow a total liability anymore, our front line is filled with pace that we are entirely unable to utilize while they all give inconsistent performances every week, and Wenger has lost the dressing room with his consistently overused and stale tactical ability. The players don't believe and they aren't fighting for anything. This team almost isn't worth supporting. They give us absolutely nothing to cheer about. I'll always come back to them, I still watch every game, but *bleep* right off Arsenal. Nobody wants to just watch their team beat the shit teams and lose every big game.

Absolutely. We were utter shit, and despite that, we would have salvaged a point if Liverpool went down to 10 men. Pointless thing to try arguing about.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
But they weren't. And then they should've been down to 10 men. I never said we were better, in fact I said we were utter shit. But despite that, we would likely have got a result with a ref who wasn't a fraud whether or not we would have deserved it. How many times did the ref give them a free kick for a clear dive ffs? Awful performance.
Anyway I didn't come back to this forum to argue over whether the sky is blue.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Horse manure.
Whatever improvements were there in the 2nd half were too little too late.
Ox and Welbeck did some admirable things, in addition to Alexis of course.
Unpopular as it may be to say this I don't think Xhaka and Mustafi are lost causes, long-term, but they're definitely underperforming. Something needs to change obviously.

but your arguing about what might have been. you might have got a draw if we went down to 10. but we might have had more goals. the fact is you got out played and lost.Eman wrote:But they weren't. Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Which is more likely though if you're down to 10 men? Us scoring or you scoring? I'll be the first one to admit when we're fortunate to win a game, so why can't you? I'm not looking in this thread again so if you insist on trying to win this argument then please do proceed.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
lmfaooooooooooooooooo not even surprised.
Wonder what excuses Arsene made after the game? Lacked mental strength, physicality, battle etc?
Saw the lineup and didn't bother checking the score till recently. Was expecting 5-1. Surprised Liverpool didn't score more.
Doubt we'll get back in the top 4. 6th seems to be our spot this season.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
We had two weeks to prepare for this game. Two bloody weeks.
The best plan Wenger could come up with was to drop his best player, play Giroud and go direct. Only on the day we didn't even go direct. Wenger's definition of direct is the keeper kicking long to the striker. Cech does that anyway without being told
The Bayern game on Tuesday is going to be played in front of a half empty stadium. I can get tickets for it. A big European game against a big team and I can get tickets. Amazing how it's come to this.

Nah. Tickets are still £60. As much as I'd love to see Bayern play in person I'm not spending that much to watch us lose.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Yea probably a good idea.
Arsene, due to some weird sense of 'honour', will play the full strength team(whatever it is) with Ozil and Sanchez. Despite the fact we have a 1% chance of going through.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
You guys see Bellerin's comments?
Said they didn't go out in the first half mentally ready to play Two weeks of solid focus on the game and they aren't ready. Incredible.

Tired of this particular excuse.
So when will and are they ever going to be mentally ready for a big game?
I'm so tired of Arsenal's shit fam.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Unfortunately he is repeating Wenger's post-match nonsense.
At least I hope he is. Bellerin is a prime example of a player who doesn't think he needs improvement, of course he believes he doesn't when he can say stuff like that and perform the way he has this season with no consequences to his position in the squad. The worst is that he is not alone, our whole squad has adapted Wenger's mentality.

The full quote for context:
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20170304/bellerin-we-should-have-gone-for-it
Putting aside the obvious issue of not being ready, this is the sort of comment you typically see when Arsenal are in a rut during the season and everyone is turning on them. "We need do to better and we promise we will" type of thing.
“We’re very frustrated with how the game went,” he said. “After the tough weeks we’ve had, the team should have gone onto the pitch, motivated and ready from the start.
“In the first half it didn’t feel like we were ready and then we went 2-0 down. We wanted to do everything. We got one goal back and had a chance to make it 2-2, but sometimes it’s too late. We just need to start the games better.
“We need to realise that it’s just not the way to go. We need to push harder, to start the games with a better attitude and just go for it because we showed that when we go for it and want something, we can do it.
“It doesn’t matter about the other team, when we have the ball and push hard, we can score goals. It’s up to us to start the games with that desire, that motivation, and then we can get good results.”
