I'm not sure the term 'senior players' should be applicable for this bunch of non-league scrubs

Poor from the players if that's true. Half of them wouldn't be as good as they were without him.

Yup. Conte pretty much confirmed it in his presser too. Lashed out on the leicester players and said they shouldn't have that much power. Mourinho did too.
Won't be surprised if its the same contingent that wants Pearson back.

Disgusting dagger to the back if so. Wish those players rot away in the championship or worse now. Ranieri is a legend at the club. Gave those scrubs more exposure and probably landed them nice contract extensions. Hope they get named and shamed.

Yep. Morgan apparently is the pied piper in the dressing room.
Makes sense considering he simply is undroppable these days regardless of his piss poor form on the pitch. Its disgusting really.
Their supporters are so hilariously deluded that they think they can now attract managers such as Laurent Blanc and Mancini. Cant wait these despicable fkers to go down and next season in the championship for Moyesie to get the job.

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
imagine coming off a historic, title winning season..then getting the sack because of Wes Fn Morgan
Willing to drop my GOAT league agenda for the chance to see Sevilla put 10 past them in the second leg
can't wait until we rescue Okazaki
nvm
googled Okazaki and saw he liked a post on Instagram confirming Ranieri's sacking.
Never rated that scrub.

Named and Shamed
Vardy part of meeting that sealed fate of Ranieri
The Leicester City players summoned to Wednesday’s meeting with owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha that effectively ended Claudio Ranieri’s reign included Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan, Marc Albrighton ,Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy. The group of senior players met Srivaddhanaprabha at the team’s hotel in Seville following their 2-1 Champions League defeat and were asked for their observations on the team’s decline from last season’s Premier League triumph.

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
players being asked in a meeting about their thoughts on the teams decline, odds of any of them owning up to the obvious lack of hunger and quality? of course not, 100% they just shifted the blame onto Ranieri.
pos players
Marc Albrighton lmaooooooo
he's playing in the CL because of Ranieri when he wouldn't look out of place in Division 3, what a snake

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
Yet arguably the most telling sign that all was not well with the club who had been crowned English champions for the first time two months previously came when owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and another senior board member bizarrely decided to monitor a training session from high chairs. It was a telling symbol of a club struggling to adjust to its new lofty status, and one suddenly under a level of scrutiny and expectation unprecedented in its 133-year history.
Ranieri was on his way regardless of the 2-1 Champions League defeat to Sevilla but a meeting with senior players in the team hotel – called by Srivaddhanaprabha – sealed his fate.
Those players were asked if there were any issues in the dressing room, as reported by Telegraph Sport earlier this month, and the answer was an unequivocal “yes”. The message was that relegation was inevitable unless a change was made.
Even as recently as Wednesday, the decision to drop Demarai Gray and play £15million flop Ahmed Musa in Seville bewildered the players. One source said: “It was no surprise because he has been making crazy decisions all season.” Another described how the players felt “flat as f---s”.

Imagine blaming the manager for your lack of talent. Albrighton calling for the sack when he should be playing with Wayne Shaw for Greggs XI in the sunday league.

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
Throughout all of last season, Ranieri constantly reminded the media, and anyone who would listen, that their goal was 40 pts and safety. Of course, they over-achieved to epic levels, last season. Even so, their goal should have stayed the same. Ranieri had it right... A club like Leicester should first and foremost try to stay in the League.
The real shame of his firing is that he was on track to achieve that goal. While they're currently very close, they've never been in the relegation zone this season. Moreover, it's not as though Ranieri is incapable of navigating a relegation scrap. I have to say that I agree with Carragher on this one: Leicester should be building the man a statue, not signing his pink slip.
To an extent, I can understand the club's anxiety surrounding the drop. However, Ranieri was fired not for his performance, but for the degradation of his relationship with players. That's utter BS... Vardy, Morgan, Albrighton, and Schmeichel should be ashamed of themselves. Ranieri won them the league at Leicester... Leicester. Moreover, he did it with mainly players that were in the championship two seasons before. The same players that are getting him sacked are the ones benefitting from new contracts which his success has brought them.

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
Understand the decision and why It had to be made. Ranieri is who he is so this was inevitable.
How it was done and when are baffling though. Way I see it, Leicester are already going down so why not let him do what he can in the CL? Sevilla didn't exactly batter them. He won them probably their only title for another 133 years. That should at least ensure him a stay until the end of the season. This is terrible.

Had he stayed ofc they would have gotten relegated irrespective of where they are right now or where they have been until now. Those snakes would have made sure of that.
Thats why this is on players and not on the board imo. Board had no other choice if them bleeps were going to take such a drastic and adamant stand of refusing to even try.
Some decent club should prise out Gray, Mahrez and that young full back Chilwell next summer and we can send the rest of these disgusting cnuts to where they actually belong.
And Shame on you Kasper Fkin Schmeichel. Tarnishing the name of your father like this.
Going behind the back to stab him and then having the audacity to come out and post cute comments on instagram as if nothing had happened. Just Fk off, will ya!

Re: Leicester have sacked Claudio Ranieri
Pretty appalling decision. A guy that makes the team work probably beyond it's maximum capabilities ousted and for what? Should've let him end the season, at least. Now we'll never know if Ranieri could turn the tables on Sevilla and maybe produce another Cinderella story in CL.
Stupid move.

Once again the Leicester owners are proven right in their decisions.
Leicester are gonna win the CL now that the insufferable grandad is gone.

Proven right? All this proves is that the players wanted to get him sacked. Snakes. One week is not enough for a meaningful change.

And the players wanted him out because Ranieri's tactics were shit all season. The only mistake the Leicester board did was not sack him earlier, they might have been in for a Europa League place next season.
