Our defense gave Bilbao 3-4 clear cut chances. Our midfield gave our attack about 10 clear cut chances.

Our forwards are not sharp/look like they don't want to score, and our defense are leaking individual errors like a bad tampon. Varane and Carvajal I'm looking at you

A match we had no right having to score an 88th minute winner since we should have won it comfortably by at least the 65th. Ronaldo with probably his worst finishing display in a Madrid jersey, even Varane decided that he wanted to make things more interesting with that cancer inducing back pass.

That being said, 3 points is 3 points and I appreciate the never say die attitude. On top of the league too. Yay.

Varane was fantastic btw. Unlucky with that mistake but still a great great performance

IMO it's pretty evident that Kroos,Bale,Morata,Isco,Vasquez etc are just tolerating him just because he is a teammate. I Really believe they don't like him.

Anyways I want to give a special shout out to Carvajal, boy this dude soldiers on even with a bloodied knee. Bilbao didn't even bother putting the ball to his side cuz they know it'll go right back to us. Benzema was bloody awesome and so was Isco so fitting of ZZ's sub policy to sub them out. Also giving Morata peanut minutes yet again he is lucky he scored or my post would booklet material of negativity

THAT SAID, game was unnecessarily difficult as mentioned above. I blame some of the technical errors (bad back passes, some slips on shots and dribbles, etc.) on the massive rain. It's usually during conditions like this that soft back passes happen because the pitch is faster and the ball runs faster/more. So you try to take something off and you end up taking too much off... I've done this myself lol. Rain is a nightmare for both keepers and defenders, especially in the volleyball era.

I forgot Isco, he was great in the first half, our best player alongside Marcelo and Kroos.

Here's the thing though Hala... can anyone bench Ronaldo? I personally don't think it's possible without a massive meltdown that would cause more harm than good. Also, although Bale is nicer than Ronaldo... I don't think you can take him out late in a tie game either.

So really... you can only sub out Benzema, Isco and Kova.

That's the issue with having prima donas. You take the good with the bad... the bad is that you're basically stuck with them on the pitch, for good or bad.

Good win, much needed, specially against a team we are always susceptible to drop points again. Morata with the clutch gene, and Ronaldo on the pitch looking like Pogba

Isco was great with his turns and directness. Too bad he got tired running for multiple persons. He was rightly subbed due to exhaustion.

Pepe has been poor the entire season

The Benzema sub made sense since he looked like he really had nothing in him left but the Isco sub was a real oddity. Not only was Isco up for it both physically and mentally, he was playing quite good.
