Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
Arsenal Vs Ludogorets
19/10/16 19:45 BST
Emirates Stadium
Same squad as the last few weeks. No one missing out. I do wonder if we will see some squad rotation? would love to see Perez start this if he is fit. But can't see Arsene changing much.
Coqzorla might return. Gibbs should start this one for me.
Might see Oxlade?
would like to see this team
----------------------Ospina------------------------------
Bellerin-------Mustafi-------Koscielny----------Gibbs
-----------Cazorla----------Coquelin-----------------
Oxlade---------------Ozil-------------------Iwobi
--------------------Perez------------------------------
Should be comfortable but if we don't score by 60th minute then it might end up a bit ugly. Won't come to that. 4-0 or 3-0 is my prediction

Ospina; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs; Coquelin, Cazorla; Walcott, Ozil, Chamberlain; Alexis
Poor Elneny and Lucas relegated to EFL Cup minutes

Yea I think Arsene is not taking any chances like last year lol.
Would have started Perez and Elneny but oh well.
Hopefully it's 4-0 at HT

Re: Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
I get Coquelin coming in because he needs some game time so he's ready for the games Xhaka won't be available for. But since Xhaka is missing games it's surely a good time to rest Cazorla.
Alexis came back late as usual from Chile and played nearly the whole game vs Swansea and will probably play the whole game tonight and the whole game on Saturday Give the guy a break ffs. If we can't rely on Lucas against Ludogorets then why did we even buy him.
Nevermind Ozil playing every minute of every game as well.

Re: Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
At least Gibbs is starting.
And Wenger is starting Ox to give him minutes. And Coq came in.
So that's 3 changes - the max AW likes to make. Then the rest of the team stays the same. Ospina is a bonus change
Not unexpected really.

Re: Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
Ludogorets didn't deserve that tbh. They played incredibly well in the first half, outpassed us, created dangerous opportunities that Ospina had to be sharp to prevent. They were only 2-0 down because of two outstanding finishes from Alexis and Walcott.
The second half, though... we woke up and actually finished the chances we were making. The finishing was excellent. So happy to see Ox have a great game and Lucas get a couple of nice assists off the bench.
Ozil's first ever hat-trick in his career. 3 goals and an assist tonight despite an anonymous first half. Ludogorets were perfect opposition to kickstart his form against.
Need to keep focused and ensure we don't get too carried away, so first halves like that don't become a common recurrence. Boro at the weekend looks on paper another easy game but we need to be careful.

Disagree. They had their chances and they fluffed 'em. We were doing the same (trying to pass it instead of shooting etc.) until Sanchez said "eff this" and took matters into his own hands. After that, everyone was shooting and taking chances. After the early 3rd, Ludo gave up

Tbf, Theo should have had a hattrick today. There were at least 3 goals that he could have bagged in addition to the one he scored.

Re: Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
We were really poor in the first half but the invididual performances of Ospina, Alexis and Walcott got us through the 45 minutes.
After that it was too easy, I don't think many weaker teams will play like that against us at home.
Happy for Ozil and Lucas, much needed stat padding for the both of them. Alexis and Walcott get to keep their goalscoring runs and Coquelin got the minutes he needed as well. Mustafi and Koscielny have looked like amateurs in the past two games, what's going on with that.
Also Gibbs needs to start games now, in current form he is better in attack and defence compared to Monreal.

Re: Arsenal Vs Ludogorets [Champions league Match 3]
Watch the highlights in the first half, Ludogorets were putting balls through them as if they weren't even there. Admittedly they were not helped by Coquelin and Cazorla but still they should be more aware of the players running in behind them.
Same against Swansea, only it was with crosses. Koscielny and Mustafi didn't clear anything and we conceded like 5 goalscoring chances because of that.

I am so happy for Chamberlain. Hopefully he gains little bit of confidence and kicks on. With Cazorla being our , I would give him a punt to play in his preferred role - CM .

This is something i have noticed with this team in the past few games. As soon as we score a goal, the team starts to loose focus and concentration. They become sloppy and overconfident. It's like they need someone on the pitch to tell them to get a grip and focus. Maybe it's part of Arsene philosophy where his team plays with more freedom but our game management needs to improve or else it's going to cost us in this good run.

I think we'll tighten it up when we recognise our opposition is more threatening (a la Chelsea). At least we don't just go out there anymore doing the exact same thing against every team, Wenger and team actually adjusts now according to opposition.
