Ref gives a yellow after every single one of our fouls. Absolutely ridiculous.

Not really. We started very well, then got a bit worse. It's hard to maintain control over midfield challenges when everyone is on a yellow aftter 20 minutes. Shocking ref.

Far better performance than our last season's first half at the Calderon, that much is for sure.

Carlo losing to Atleti what else is new? Carlo's tactics are even more one dimensional than Pep's. I'd be surprised if he changed anything in the second half

@hapless, that's the thing you see. I have seen this scenario played out one too many times. Simeone reads Carlo's tactics like a magazine. His teams has always been "fine" overall against Atleti yet the end result is always the same and you are left ruing your missed chances and Atleti being efficient with theirs. Once is luck, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a trend and so on. It's always the same

Lmao at Atletico tiki taking near Bayerns box and Vidal got mad and conceded penalty.

Like like Atletico are not slowing down at all. This year's CL semi finalists again IMO, if they are not facing Madrid of course.

Totally deserved victory for Atlético..could've been 2-0 if it wasn't for Griezmann's questionable penalty skills.

Bayern was reminiscent of Carlo's Madrid against Atlético: clueless, powerless and stubborn. Carlo's unwillingness to make tweaks to his one-dimensional tactics is the reason he got owned by Simeone almost every time those two met.

Simeone deserves all the credit though. He has built an elite side, tactically impeccable and disciplined, impenetrable like a fortress and, and tonight he has once again proved why he's one of the best tacticians in the world.

It's just a shame that he's classless most of the time, otherwise he would've been in the top 3 of my favorite managers.
