I wouldn't say Roma bottling it this time, Lyon deserve the credit. They are playing well.

Lyon need 1 more, I think they will score at Roma but expect Roma to beat them at home.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
What an absolute cracker of a game so far.
Excellent performances by both, to be honest. Though Lyon's recent surge have kept Roma on the backfoot and the latter have been complacent in that regard. Not a bottling job at all Firenze my friend as its just one of those very good games.
Roma are low on confidence at the moment given their three game losing streak and it would be a shame for either team to be knocked out.

Interesting scores across all the games pretty much, second legs should be entertaining in the GOAT European tournament

Lacazette looks like class. I wonder where he'll end up.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Alexander Lacazette seals the victory with a stunning screamer knuckleball past a well performed Allison, followed by a rather stoic staged celebration.
Very poor by Roma or very good by Lyon? Lyon's reverse comeback and surge was just relentless and Spaletti's failure to hinder that is on him along with the gutless defence to stop it.
Brilliant game and deserved by Lyon.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Lyon knocking out Roma would be fantastic, always been a fan of Lyon and still am, but they're incredibly erratic team and Roma are marginally behind us in terms of favorites to win it all. Second leg should be a cracker. I think Lyon will nick it now.

Roma and Napoli should do what's right and resign from European competitions.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Impossible to call the tie for me. The two halves had clear winners each. Anything could happen in the return leg.
Roma needs to get out of this slump asap. 3 loses in the last 3 games. They have Palermo and Sassuolo so they should be back to winning before the return game.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Have been observing Firenze's slow incline onto Lyon to which lets be honest commenced from FIFA but he (along with that crazy Lyon fan who always insults Nick for some reason) are the ones who watch them most closely.
Think this game has sealed your fanship for them officially. Great club to support too. Amazing atmosphere, great fans (bunch of primadonnas), great stadium, history and the best city in France too. I hope to see it as your second team.

Liverpool aren't a step up from Lyon. I think he would move but only to an elite team.

you're right in that it did start somewhat due to FIFA, but it was actually back when they had Gourcuff (I was a Gourcuff fanboy and thought he would be GOAT) and Bastos days
starting following them again because of Fekir, Tolisso, Lacazette and now Depay moving there
the ironic thing is that the majority of my fathers family are from Marseille and are die-hard Marseille fans that would disapprove

I see Lyon scoring for sure, but Roma scoring 3 is definitely not out of the question. I think they will win. But 2-1.

Totally agree, I symphatize with Lyon since Inter faced it in Uefa '97-'98 . But I preferred the Gerland, not a fan of modern stadiums

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
I was born in Lyon ffs.
Also, Utd did quite well in those mad conditions, expect them to seal the tie. Lyon-Roma was absolutely delightful, glad I watched that. Also also, Brendan doing more than Klopp this season, justice for Curtinho imo.
