Re: 2016/17 Europa League
No it wouldn't work Glory. That team gets knocked out in the QF stage of Europa imo. Talent is decent... but they will lack form because they rarely play, let alone together. The other good sides will have built synergy and play regularly in their leagues.
But if Man U makes the semis and assuming the schedule isn't going to crap on their EPL games... Mourinho puts in his top lineup then imo. It will depend on how the EPL is going though.

Yea. Perhaps if we reach SF then Jose will play the main team with the likes of Pog and Ibra

And yet they are currently ranked even behind Schalke:

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
EL kicks off tonight with a lot of interesting games.
Sassuolo-Athletic
Feyenoord-United
Nice-Schalke
etc.
From Italy:
Sassuolo has been on good form but are missing Berardi and Defrel, the later of which might make it, Im not sure. This will be their first european game in a proper tournament (after winning the playoffs). Don't know how Bilbao is faring this season.
Inter due to FFP couldn't register Jovetic, Gabigol, Joao Mario and Candreva. So their lineup will be very different from Serie A. Still should comfortably Beer-Sheva.
Plzen-Roma should be Roma all day, but since they are undergoing a mentality crisis (for 1000s time) you never know. They talk like they will take the competition seriously so they should field a mostly first team lineup. For those interested in him, Paredes should start in the middle.
PAOK-Fiorentina... Who knows what Fiorentina are up to. They usually do well in EL in recent years, but I don't bother with them. Maybe Bernardeschi will shine.

Im not, based on league form Schalke and Mainz are the worst teams in the Bliga ( OK not as bad as Bremen) while Nizza are the hottest team in France.

And kudos to Inter for weakening us considerably by giving us Ruin Jesus.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Worth noting Feyenoord have played really well to start this season, have a good mix of top young Dutch talent and experienced veterans. I would say they will give trouble to any team in this competition if they keep up their form and confidence.
Leon Bailey with another goal...kid is a phenom. Have only seen a few of his games, and highlights, but with his ability to pick out a pass/cross alongside his dribbling, pace and nose for net he could be a really high level player sooner than later.

No doubts it 'd happened. Rarely I've seen a defender so scrub like Juan Jesus
Inter fans to say we didn't have to give him to Roma ffs because he was useful ffs
Shame he'll be back.

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Europa League must go back in its old format when it was called Uefa Cup.
Just knock out matches, stop groups like the CL . The EL group are really bad imo , full of insignifcant matches ffs

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
I dunno....we're struggling mightily against this tiny Czech side. I don't consider that insignificant at all. If anything, this is probably Roma's level right now.....and I'm not being sensational or sarcastic.
We really are playing at Plzen's level.....and they're still better than us

Re: 2016/17 Europa League
Two schools of thought really:
Feyenoord are actually playing better than United or Utd are doing their own version of the rope-a-dope. Against Feyenoord.
Needless to say, not impressed. Hopefully Zlatan does something Zlatan-y to help this.
