Yes, he has improved a little, but he is far from playing well. He just doesn't add. He scored goals against Osasuna, that's it.
His game against Espanyol was mediocre as always. Don't join the whitewashing wagon just because he scored two tap ins against the worst team in la liga, please.

I didnt say that because of the goals he scored. From my observations, he improved significantly in general; passing the ball around faster etc.

Anyway, you will have to deal with him for another season, because I've been reading they want to keep him in belief that his 2nd season will be his breakthrough one

Not too sure what that video shows... but clearly hes not a Barca type player at all... I guess of course same as Paulinho though, they are both physically strong and we need that at times to compete. Still just feel there are tons of better midfielders out there than this clown

This video, and all of his other performances, goes to show that any random youngster from the B team would perform as well as a 40M signing (or better). This is just embarrasing & again, we would be better off if we called up some promising kids who deserve it more instead of continuing with pointless and overpriced signings.

He was solid in the 2nd half when played in the midfield. Not to say he has suddenly become great or anything, but away at Atletico and he finally showed a good half for us (must of been the first since arrival which is pathetic).

That said, I have no clue why he was playing in that wing right role. Denis has clearly showed he can play that role damn well, and Deulofeu came off the bench and looked great. That's more of a Valverde thing than Gomes fault.

I don't understand why you think he played well in the second half. The guy has no footballing brain, topped with no intensity. When he wants to play with intensity, he just fouls the opponent.

Oh and he passed the ball badly to Suárez for a certain goal too.

I have sympathy for him, but he seems very mentally fragile, which is a bad sign regardless of form or talent.
