Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
GL has a 20% stake in the transfer fees as well. Hope we can all share it equally (:

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
I think it's good pr for Pogba, Juve and Serie A to make the transfer look like something neither Juve nor Pogba could realistically refuse... so throwing out these percentage figures really helps both sides. I also think it puts pressure on Raiola by the public (not that he cares much) because his fees are outrageous. In a sense, the info leaked allows both Juve and Pogba to use Raiola as the scapegoat if they decide not to go forward with the deal. It's really quite clever.... not sure if it's intentional, but clever nonetheless.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Well let's say it's cut between say 2 of the active United fans and the 3 of us active Juve fans in the Pogba dealing
The transfer fee is approx £500,000,000 factoring in 100% GL tax that's £1,000,000,000 so 20% stands at £200,000,000 / 5 = £40,000,000 per person. Factoring in GL sales tax that's approximately...
£20,000,000,000,000 per person.
Need a decent super yacht tbh so i'm cool.

S... I linked it on your section a few days back. It was reported by either l'Equipe or RMC. One of the posters there responded by saying Pjanic had a similar clause so it's not unusual. So don't make it sound like it's something outlandish. Often times, when a club doesn't want to offer an exit clause, they put a clause like that in order to incentivize a player to forego pushing for an exit fixed fee (some places, exit clause is mandatory though).
Pjanic got a percentage of the fee Roma got so that you know.... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/11/miralem-pjanic-juventus-transfer-roma-serie-a
But he didn't say if he got the full 20% or settled for something less.

Your claims are Raiola has a 20% stake AND Pogba has a 20% stake in the transfer fees. BS.
Pjanic's percentage btw was spread through his contract so whatever % Pogba is supposed to be receiving will be paid by United through his wages.
Juve want 120M euros NET. That is all to it right now.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Raiola can demand whatever he wants if Pogba agrees to it... that 20% bs is just that, bs. Last I heard, he was asking for 28 million euros which is obviously not 20% of the transfer fee unless Juve get 140 million.
According to a local paper here, Juve want to net 100 mil out of this transaction. So they want 120 mil to pay Pogba's 20% and have Man U pay Raiola's fee. So really, Man U would end up paying almost 150 mil for Pogba in this scenario.
Man U have offered to pay 110 mil to Juve and split the 28 mil fee for Raiola with Juve. Juve don't want to pay a dime of the 28 mil and still want 120. That's the deadlock.
That's my understanding from French media. UK media is all over the place so I can't make heads or tails out of it. Haven't really followed Italian media.
Since Raiola's fee is so outrageous, media here speculated that Pogba must be sharing in that. Then I read he gets 50% of that.
It's like they Neymar deal. But we'll know within 12 months since Man U is a public company and they have to disclose.

Well Italian media insist we want 120M NET and that we'll offer no discounts. Either ways what a *bleep* up deal. I hope we dont do business with Raiola again. Pure garbage.

Apparently Wanda has been promised a prominent role in De Laurentiis's upcoming movie. That should clinch the deal...
This is because Napoli is a circus
The De Laurentiis "movies" are a trash
Anyway if we are coherent with what we said so far, they can also offer the moon to Icardi \ Wanda ... but we decide.
Apparently his next movie is "soft" porn and he has offered Wanda the lead role. Icardi is rejecting this idea but Wanda is thinking about it. Could be a boost to her entertainment career...

Agreed. We should settle for £50M it's still a ridiculous profit.
If you ever find a bar of gold gimme a shout brah i'll offer £50 for it. I mean you did get it for free.
Not that I blame Raiola for being 'greedy' it's all about the $$ for agents. He'd be stupid not to try.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
It's delusional to think Pogba could ever succeed as a DM in a 4-2-3-1. If you have ever watched Pogba actually play a full game like I have for the past 4 years you would know he cannot play that role, at least not consistently. Sure he can do it for a few games in a Euro competition, but for a full season?
Playing Pogba as a DM is the equivalent of playing Rooney as a CAM. Oh wait...
Good luck ManU, you're gonna need it...

How are Juve being greedy ? What are you on about lol. Juve are merely protecting their interests. He's a player we dont want to let go and if he's asked to leave, we want to milk the buyer as much as we can because he's a key player and we cant bend over so easily.
Man you're relentless, its crazy. You want Pogba out of Juve as fast as possible. Seriously tell me do you get a 0.1% commission of the fees or something ?

That my point. I think both Juve and Raiola are doing their jobs. Neither is being more or less a pig than the other.

Last season we were heavily criticized for selling Vidal for 40M, after signing him for 11M.
Equally criticized for selling Coman for 30M after signing him for free.
Why should Juventus give in? There's no release clause in his contract and he has an extension until 2019 or 2020 I believe.
I mean, you can call it greed. I prefer shrewd.

So Juve has the right to protect its interests yet Raiola doesn't have the right to protect both his and his client's? No double standard there.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
If anything, I would criticize Pogba more in this situation.
I understand not worrying about the transfer during the Euros, but it's July 26... the Premier League season starts in 3 weeks, Serie A in 4. A little bit of urgency that is lacking, he's just relaxing in Miami posting Instagram videos everyday like he could care less. I am a bit surprised at how disinterested he seems.

I agree Luca... it's shrewd by both sides. I'm just surprised at the outrage against Pogba and his agent. They're not doing anything different than Juve is.
Pretty much both Pogba and Juve have said that Juve are obliged to negotiate if Pogba asks to leave. That's pretty standard unless a club overpays the wages to completely control a player (like Bayern and PSG do).

Is anybody actually saying Raiola doesn't have the right to try and make money from this?
All we're saying is that from what has been reported we're not willing to give him a penny. Because why would you sell a player who you don't want to sell and turn around and give the agent of said player a chunk of cash for helping you... wait for it....
sell a player you don't want to sell.
Raiola is well within his rights to try and get as much cash as possible. As is Pogba, as are Juventus. But the interests of Raiola do not allign with Juve obviously.

I have no outrage at all. Raiola is a fantastic agent, people too close to clubs just forget the role of agents- it's not to serve the best interests of the club but the player and yes, it's just business.

Dybala
inb4 but he scored a bunch of goals in Serie A, look at all the scrubs that have put up better numbers than him in infinitely less stacked teams in the last few years
Rashford >
Also remember people criticizing Dybala for being meh heavily for the first few months when he switched to Juve (not necessarily here just in general)
