Berardi is a b*tch: Sassuolo v Milan

Montolivo and Abate are out, big losses, both leaders on the pitch.
According to Sky, Zapata might be rested since he's just come off 3 games, Alex is expected to pair Romagnoli
Also, Sinisa has confirmed that Balo will start alongside Bacca tomorrow.
Predicted XI:
-------------Balo----Bacc
Bona--------Bert---Kucka-----Honda
Antonelli----Roma--Alex-----MDS
-----------------Donna
We have...quite the record against Sassuolo, especially in their stadium. They've been the team that sealed the deal for the last 2 managers lol, and lets not speak about Berardi.
The probable Sassuolo XI:
Consigli; Vrsaljko, Cannavaro, Acerbi, Peluso; Magnarelli, Biondini, Duncan; Berardi, Sansone, Defrel
Duncan, Magnanelli and Biondini are huff n puff midfielders, lot of running, sweat and grit. Their defense is okay, and their attack is decent. I'm only nervous about Berto---Kucka against them since that pairing isn't the best (anything without Montolivo is subpar lol), hoping we don't get absolutely shit on. Sass. just came off a 2-0 win at Lazio's stadium, so they might be in high spirits.
This is arguably our most important game, with Roma in fine form, we cannot afford to drop a single point. No more. Otherwise we can kiss 3rd goodbye. I think depending on the result, this will set the tone for the games to follow. This isn't a 'we have to win this' its a 'we need to win this'.

I really hope bertolacci performs well in this match, it will be critical to control the left side of the field where Berardi will attack from. My problem with Berto (and Mauri) is that he does not drop back in the hole to connect the midfield and the defence, and this might cause us problems especially in this match.

Best title yet
This is a very big game, not just because we usually lose against Berardiolo, but because if we win we move to just 6 points behind Roma. Considering we're heading into an easy string of fixtures and then host them on the final day, I think if we win this we have a very real chance of catching them.
We've been improving yes, but at the end of the day it's games like these that decide your season. If our team crumbles at the crunch time in an away fixture against our bogey team, we'll know we're still a bunch of mentally fragile scrubs. If we can get a win though, I won't care how ugly it is, I'll be extremely proud of Miha and the team.

Damn. Well they weren't too bad vs Alessandria, though I understand that Sassuolo is a much tougher task. But Zapata has been pretty solid recently, since the Napol game, and Alex has been generally good, so we can hope that they manage.

Excited for this game. Need to win this game, pretty crucial. Hopefully Zapata and Alex The Shiny Head holds up.

Re: Berardi is a b*tch: Sassuolo v Milan
The defensive pairing doesn't really matter, we all know Berardi would always find a way to humiliate our defense even if we had a Maldini - Nesta pairing. :lol;
I have to say Miha is showing a lot of faith in Zapata, true he seems in good form at the moment but it's only a matter of time before he does Zapata things. If I were Miha, I'd have stuck with Roma especially after his fine showing and goals against Allesandria
This is gonna be one hell of a test. Here is hoping we outscore Berardi and pass this test

I hate Berardi so damn much.
You just know that he is going to do something to us.
BTW, I never thought, and never think that 3rd place is a realistic chance. Best we can do is fourth, and that would be an achievement.

HT 1-0
We had a good 15-20 mins or so..then we decided to let them have more of the ball.
Did we ever win from losing positions this season btw?

Kucka is having a god awful game.
I think this is the time to give up what optimism i had before. We are just not good enough for CL, not even close.
