A more organised Roma I would say.

Just want to point ou, TBH Arsenal is a very well run club. In England, only Manchester United imo has been better in that regard. Tottenham has being doing great in recents years.

The problem is Kroenke.... he's widely regarded as a money-hungry executive who cares nothing about winning. The Rams NFL team has been utterly dismal since he took over. Now that he's moved that team to Los Angeles, he better change because, after the first 2 years end and the novelty factor fades, people in Los Angeles won't attend or watch a losing team. Only reason the Lakers are getting away with it recently is Kobe Bryant... he's a city icon. The Rams don't have a Kobe Bryant.
To get back to Arsenal... Kroenke is running it like the Rams. Namely, winning isn't the primary objective. Making as much money as possible is the goal. That doesn't work when you may need to make a potentially non-profitable move to get your team over the edge and become elite... he'll never do that.

I don't see how he's a problem. He plays a passive role for better or for worse, but the club is self-sufficient anyway and has one of the biggest budgets in the league.
I've said this to other Arsenal fans, but if the guy were that obsessed with making money, he wouldn't allow Wenger to spend £70mil on Ozil and Alexis, or bid £40mil for Suarez.
I don't know what he'll be like post-Wenger but the guy hasn't hindered us at all in terms of spending.

Speaking from Roma's perspective, Arsenal are the English us and we are the Italian them. Both sets of fans generally acknowledge this and have even more since we met in the CL a few years back.
Both sides prefer to prioritize style of play over results meaning neither side is ruthless when it absolutely needs to be. I think that's the overriding similarity between us and why our results paths are so similar. From a fanbase perspsective, I honestly think Roma have more in common with Liverpool, minus the Curva Sud situation.
I really felt like I was watching Roma all over again when Arsenal lost to Barca. That's almost exactly how we lost to Madrid. Arsenal even had better looks on goal too.

I still don't understand the buyout clause thing. I thought if you go 40m pounds or over, the club has no say in whether Suarez stays or not?
It is then up to Suarez if he wants to leave, no?

No, he didn't. Liverpool just didn't honour the clause.

This is not illegal? Doesn't that kind of, you know, violate the whole idea of having a contract (and the clauses within it?)
Let's say there is a clause in the Suarez's contract at Barca where if we win the CL before 2017, it's an extra 10 million euros to be sent to Liverpool. It's acceptable to go "nah, we don't really feel like it"?
EDIT: Alright RG answered it. How is Liverpool not getting tons of crap for this? That's insanely unethical

In March 2014 John W Henry admitted that, yes, Luis Suárez did indeed have a clause in his contract at Anfield that allowed him to depart if anyone offered more than £40m, exactly as Arsenal had done the previous summer, but that he didn’t care. At £40,000,001, the bid was provocative and it should have been enough but Liverpool’s principal owner decided that, forget the clause, forget the extra pound, forget the Uruguayan’s public plea to leave, he wasn’t selling. “Apparently, these contracts don’t seem to hold,” he told a conference in Boston, seven months later.

What apparently happened is that we could have taken the case to court but chose not to for whatever reason.
Doesn't matter anyway since he probably would have ended up at Barca regardless.

At that time he really wanted to get the ** out of Liverpool but Arsenal didn't act like they really want him otherwise as the player was also keen to join the club they would have found a way. Anyways, thanks to that we are witnessing MSN so..

Always loved being in Rome, time to start watching Serie Zzz and supporting Roma?
"Roma is not to be questioned, it is to be loved." does have a roma-ntic appeal to it too
