That old game that you always go back to

I'm no longer the gamer i once was so i'm mostly playing old games these days, but even in my prime gaming days there are a couple of games that i always played and enjoyed like i just unwrapped the CDs (yea these games came in CDs)

-Heroes of Might & Magic 3: What i'm playing these days. This game was released in 1999 and i first played it in my teen years but i never really mastered the game until a couple of years ago. The game play is top notch with endless possibilities, and the graphics aged very well unlike the more recent editions of the game where the developers abandoned the drawn/cartoonish graphics and tried to be too realistic

-Championship Manager 01/02: Yep, i still play this one, and i'm not the only one who cant let this game go as it turns out there's a huge online community that constantly updates the squads and all that. However i enjoy the game playing with the original rosters (R9 and Vieri at inter ) The game is extremely hard to master and it has an amazing tactics engine

Gothic 3: Fav game of all time, dont play it as much since the controls and graphics get in the way of enjoying the game, but storyline wise there is no game that even comes close in terms of depth and complexity

Diablo II - what an amazing game, single and multiplayer. Always loved this game, always will.

Skyrim is another, if 2011 counts as an old game

Transport Tycoon is the old game I keep revisiting; To this date no comparable game has been released - Train Fever is a nice attempt but has first time small developer issues.

Will go back to MW2, once it's available on PS4. I miss playing the first Crash Bandicoot game, also. And Need for Speed Underground.

I think Shenmue 2 would have to be the choice for me.  It does everything so perfectly it is almost like watching a film.

The final boss battle on the roof in downtown Kowloon against Dou Niu is probably the best final boss battle ever. The only time I have ever played through a game and legitimately hated the final boss at the time of the fight. I still remember the lead up to the fight:

I also liked the hike up Guilin at the end. Subtle and beautiful. Probably the best 30 or so minutes you will ever have of gaming as a storytelling medium. You just know shenmue III is going to ruin it.

Also Assassin's Creed 1 and 2. I've played the sequels but the first 2 I enjoyed far more. Could be just nostalgia tho.

Currently i alternate between DW7 and Black Ops on PS3
But i have most games on this console honestly, i've yet to buy the PS4

Also i played Kotor and Pokemon Stadium last year, it brings good ol memories

I was always a Street Fighter fan myself
