Agreed, Morata is the better striker out of the two. Tbf my one complaint about Buffon is that for a so called Legend of the game he's leagues behind Zaza in clutch goal scoring ability.

Having said that: Really strange that Mascherano wants to leave. There were already rumours last summer.

He is a starter, was voted one of the captains and is generally well liked by the fanbase. Must be about money after his tax fraud case.

Masche is a bit of an unsung hero for Barca's defense, got a feeling that him leaving will be a crippling blow to Barca's backline, they'll struggle a lot next season

I'm undecided. He does a lot of right things in La Liga but in the biggest games he struggles quite a bit, his aerial weakness in particular is problematic against crossing teams like Bayern or Madrid.

Will depend who we replace him with. If it's Bartra, we're obviously screwed.

Equivalent of Arsenal not finishing in the top 4 tbh.

Every year people say Barca's defense is crap and every year they concede less than pretty much every team apart from a small select few.

They'll be fine regardless of who leaves and comes.

Meh, losing March only worries me because I don't know who would replace him. I don't think he's an unsung hero and I don't think he's particularly that great. He's good, there is no denying that, but as futbol said, in big games he leaves a lot to be desired.

I'd rather keep him just for continuities sake but we'll see.

Re: Pogba to Barca, I'm a bit skeptical. The whole Morata outperforming him in big games thing etc etc

Normally Barca's defence doesn't change however, so it's a moot point. Losing one of our two starting CBs is a blow for any team. They will struggle massively if he isn't replaced properly.

Can't imagine that its about money if he wants Juve. Players just want different experiences, he has won everything at Barca and more, maybe he just wants a different challenge.
