Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
According to BeIN Sports, German giants Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Rennes attacker Ousmane Dembélé.
The deal would see the player remain at Rennes on loan until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
The report claims that this deal will have a knock on effect with Kingsley Coman, who the media outlet expects will return to Juventus at the end of his 2 year loan to Bayern Munich.
Coman however wants to remain with the German side and wants to join them permanently, rather than returning to Juventus.
This report puts Bayern Munich’s supposed buy clause in Coman’s loan deal into question, with it previously having been thought that Bayern could activate that at any moment for around €20m, rendering the player a Bayern Munich man permanently, without Juventus having any say on the matter.
Getting their new Robben and Ribbery sorted i guess. :envy:

I don't see how Bayern won't spend the 20mill for Coman

Report in Italy say Madrid talked to, and wants to move for, Morata. But he doesn't want leave. Particularly without guarantees of minutes and assurance to not be shipped off.

I believe they dont have a clue as to what will happen with regards to Coman and are simply speculating.
But that doesnt mean the fact that Bayern has reached out for Dembele cant be true. And not after what we have been witnessing from bayern in transfers recently. They have been simply flawless :envy again:

Meh. Benatia, Götze, have been expensive flops.
Of course we are possibly 'reaching out' for Dembele, but quite apparently every top club is doing the same

More recent ones. Costa, Coman,... err Kimmich ?
Gotze's happened a while ago. And Benatia yea dont know what happened with that one. Rare exception perhaps. But he was very wanted during that time when you guys bought him and 20ish million isnt exactly that expensive btw is it ?
Is actually nothing compared to what English clubs pay to get their players these days
And as to competition from other clubs is concerned. come on bayern have like the biggest pull.

Yes please. Moreno and Mignolet subbed for Hector and Horn? A dream come true.

Goetze has no hunger so difficult for him to succeed. He is happy with his $. Benatia is a big disappointed - Expected high things from him.
Time to sell him in the summer & get a good CB!

Pep wants Thiago for Man City, according to the Guardian.
-----Silva---Thiago
---------Weigl
Really interested to see what Pep does with the City team. Is Hart going to adapt? Valdes an option? What about Yaya? Maybe he can coexist with Pep and play a deeper role while winding down his career. He's done it before at Barca and I think Pep's going to try and get some experienced established players into the team, so keeping Yaya would make sense.
I'd say Kompany, Silva and Aguero are the certain starters. They aren't exactly going to get 8 new starters, so a few of the top players will continue to start. Possibly Otamendi/Mangala, they seem like Pep players with what they offer. Also one of Sterling/De Bruyne.
-----------------Valdes
Alves---Kompany---Otamendi---RicRod
------------------Yaya
-KDB/Sterling-Thiago---Silva---Griezmann/inside forward
-------------------Aguero
If not Thiago, then Kroos/Gundogan/Verratti.

Hmm. Wondering if this would be the shortest starting XI in the Premier League next season?

Yaya is not good in a deeper role, he only comes alive in the opposition's half. The guy simply takes it too easy - with or without the ball - in his own half to be a midfield anchor.

I can't see that happening with Pep's positional play system. And there's no way he would attack as the '1' in a 4-1-4-1. Plus he's played a similar role before at Barca, so it's not unknown territory.
What I like about Yaya is that he's composed on the ball, good under pressure, good dribbler and while he's not exactly a playmaker, he can certainly pick a pass. And Pep will certainly make sure he brushes up on his defensive skills.

Can see him offloading Sterling tbh to Arsenal. Their fans arent happy with him.

Would destroy the league but maybe in a 2 years. Buying Pogba, Thiago, Gundogan, Gaya and Alves is a lot even for City to do in 1 window.
