Juve would be a much wiser career choice for him IMO.

What do Juve need an AM for? Dybala is SS/AM by definition, you should be pushing to sign Cavani, not some glorified AM who cant break into the XI of Bayern. *bleep* Coman is benching him for crying out loud.
This is the problem with the attraction of big names on the market, people start fantasizing and all play the best case scenario in their mind, but in reality it never really works.
Pool needs pacy wide forward to keep moving up. Signing Gotze isnt that. It's a redundant signing when looking at your current players.

Get a bit of perspective on what Juve actually needs.
Allegri likes a 4-3-1-2. In fact, Allegri's 4-3-1-2 took us to a double and a CL final. At the start of this season, Allegri played a 4-3-1-2. To that system an AM is central.
Signing Cavani would make no sense at this point. We have 3 CF's already, only 1 SS and only 1 AM. How in the world do we need another CF instead of a creative player? Whenever Dybala is out only Pogba is creating (or Sandro but he isn't there every game yet). Peryeyra is good but he is not gonna take us to the next level at least yet. So if Allegri's plans are still the same we absolutely need an AM, thats priority number 1 for the summer.
Dybala(SS)-Mandzukic(CF)
AM
thats perfect. If we settle on the 3-5-2 or go 4-3-3 then its other buys. But right now we need an AM more than anything else. One thing is sure though, we should NOT be dropping all our cash on Cavani, thats a Milan/Madrid type of move. AM, Berardi, RB, CM is what we'll need depending on future plans.

Klopp specifically talks about how the club lack proper width and pace in the attack, so naturally every paper links us with (and half the fan-base accepts) Götze.

Götze has no pace and doesn't provide width
or was that the point of your post

Does that make your post pointless?

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
We need an out-and-out winger, not another AM whose best position is playing through the middle.
I also question whether the supposed Klopp factor is as powerful as people seem to assume. If Götze is available in the summer, there's a case for each of Man United, Man City and Chelsea needing him. Well, maybe not City, but the other two. Both will pay higher wages than we do. That decides almost all of the time where players go. This summer is going to be hugely competitive in the English transfer market with so many big teams needing reinforcements, that if a player with Götze's reputation becomes available, I doubt it'll be us who'll get them.

Played at the center, and others provided width. And pace.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Well, yeah, the thing is that for Gotze to come here we already have Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana. Why would we also need Gotze? It's kind of pointless when where we are lacking is, as mentioned, width and pace.
The links to guys like Williams, Lucas and others makes more sense in reality. Though again I think there'll be a bit of a shake up this summer as at least one midfielder will go (IMO), Benteke will most likely go and I have to imagine probably Skrtel will go as well.
I suspect we'll be buying a keeper, a midfielder, at least one winger and a striker. I would also love to see a leftback come in to usurp Moreno because he's a trainwreck but for some reason I think he's not going anywhere any time soon despite his performances.
Set in stone for next season I think it's something like this:
I suspect Milner and Lallana will stay as fill-ins. Henderson will likely get at least one more season to really evolve, and Klopp is keeping him as captain so I doubt he loses his starting spot. Can is very good but I think ideally we would have a top end player starting in his spot beside Henderson -- someone who's a bit better on a turn and more technical on the ball but doesn't shirk defensive responsibility.
Any keeper will do, thanks.
Out wide we have Markovic coming back, Ibe getting older, Milner/Lallana as stand ins and I suspect there'll be at least one buy going on there. Inaki Williams perhaps as a player that can provide width, pace and even goals (though he's expensive).
Apparently we're in on Piotr Zielinski (who would be the midfielder), and Caner Erkin which hopefully would signal Moreno's moving on, or at least demotion until they can sort him out (if possible).

Not completely true tbf, he started on the right when he broke through and was successful only moving to the centre after Kagawa left.
Although in fairness he was more explosive then.

That's cuz Gotze has turned into a fat millionaire more concerned with getting hard at the public pool than playing football imo

Looks like Toulouse are going to be relegated soon. Ben Yedder will be quite a bargain for many mid level to upper mid table teams across various leagues.
Can see him at West Ham etc
