Re: Guus Hiddink
Pretty bad, yea. Which makes our form all the more impressive. And especially so of late, considering our 2 starting center-backs are out injured.

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink to be rewarded with Roman Abramovich advisory role after helping champions move into gear:

It wouldn't be the worst move, if Conte is accepting of it.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Because he's just a stat padding stop gap, won't bring long term success.
Don't think he cares anyways.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Roman wants someone long term and Guus isn't going to be that person as he is too old.
He has done well, but there has always been the understanding that his job is only until the end of the season. I am not even sure he wants to extend.

Re: Guus Hiddink
I guess it makes sense if age is the issue. Just think it's a risk with Conte. Conte has never convinced in Europe and has ideas that might not translate well into English football either, like his 3 man backline formation.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Guus is 69 now, who knows how much longer he wants to keep managing.
I think Conte is a risk, too. But he speaks English (I don't think any of Allgri, Simeone or Sampaoli do) and is a great man manager.
I don't think he'll stick to the 3 at the back, either. It seems he mostly employed that because Juve lacked proper wingers.
I think we'll see a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 under him.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Guus has promised to play the youth a lot in the remaining games, and Villa was a good start, with Loftus-Cheek, Miazga, Kenedy and Baba all starting, and Clarke-Salter making his debut

Re: Guus Hiddink
Ramires is claiming that Hiddink is the reason behind his move to China, as Guus didn't want to play Ramires.

Should've bought Guus in sooner

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/04/hiddink--showing-commitment.htmlGuus wrote:"I had a short meeting with [Conte] about general things; football, Italy and about the work we did in the past months."
"If needed I'm available for the club, that's what I said before, because in the two spells I've been here, and from visiting in between, this is a club I love very much."
I'd be happy to keep Guus around.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Guus has confirmed he will remain at Chelsea next season in an advisory role.
He also wants to bring Cech and Drogba back.

Great! No better way to move forward than trying to exhume, resuscitate and relive the past.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Nobody at the club since Abmramovich came in has had nearly as high tendency to intergrate youth players (I realise how unique his situation was), so let's not jump to conclusions yet
