Chelsea boss Hiddink: “The squad is ready for rebuilding”:

Very well it may be, but I doubt you'll have much say in how it's done.

-“It was important for me that I could have one-on-ones with a number of people. There is a lot of work to be done for the near future.”
“The team is not in a great state, the squad is ready for rebuilding. So in this coming period it is also about working towards the future.”
“I need to have a complete review and insight into the club and once I have that, measures need to be taken.”
Very well it may be, but I doubt you'll have much say in how it's done.

Lol have to win like 17 of the remaining 21 games, I can't see that happening.
I applaud you for your optimism though.

I am seeing 11 points behind top 4, it is very optimistic i agree. United and Spurs don't worry me, we can catch up if we play to the level that i know we can. We only lost once under Guus.
I am hoping we would have a season of two halves, one really poor and one really great.

Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink told to play the kids as club chiefs grow frustrated by lack of academy graduates:
There was major frustration within the Chelsea hierarchy about the lack of academy players that made the breakthrough during Jose Mourinho's reign, and successor Guus Hiddink has been instructed to provide a clear pathway into Chelsea's first team for the club's talented youngsters

The axed Portuguese coach was expected to give a number of the club's best kids - in particular Ruben Loftus-Cheek - more game time this season.
But his seeming reluctance to play Chelsea's most promising youngsters was a factor behind the decision to sack him.
And Hiddink will now be expected to give the likes of Loftus-Cheek, Ola Aina and Charly Musonda Jnr more game time between now and the end of the season, particularly if hopes of securing a top-four spot fade even further.
Roman Abramovich remains committed to making a success of Chelsea's academy and Hiddink has been tasked with grooming the club's most promising stars for the next manager.
Chelsea are desperate to strengthen their homegrown options and believe promoting talent from their academy is the best way to do that.
Indeed, Abramovich is convinced there is plenty of talent in Chelsea's youth set-up and Hiddink will play a key role in helping to bring the club's stars of the future to the fore.

If he's not going to play youth, he can *bleep* RIGHT OFF.
Sack him after next game if he doesn't play youth, have Steve Holland / Newton in charge and play youngsters.
*bleep* THIS SHIT.

Re: Guus Hiddink
I think shed mentioned this before, but the Hiddink's main goal right now is probably to get the first ix gelling and firing, and trying to win and move up the ladder. There maybe emphasis on playing the youth, but the FA cup is something we are now obligated to win, and will continue to field senior players for that. In the PL, we will continue with the senior players as well since the task is to get as many points in the second half as possible. I simply don't see a way for the kids to really break through this season because of the mess that's been made.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Agreed. He's been here for 4 games FFS. He needs to find the right first XI and to win as many games to keep our hopes for a top 4 place finish and FA Cup win alive. I think it's understandable that he didn't play youth yet.

Re: Guus Hiddink
I don't know what Ade is expecting, tbh.
He was always going to come in and try to get us to perform to our maximum, not just play all of our youth.

Re: Guus Hiddink
I was expecting what a normal fan would expect for this type of game.
We were against a team bottom of league 1 at home ffs.
We have 2 PL matches in the next 6 days.
Most of that starting line up has pretty much played every game, most of our youth have been rotting on the bench all season.
Disgusting management and now Costa and Oscar are apparently injured
WELL PLAYED YOU OLD *bleep*.
Inb4 Pedro plays CF

Re: Guus Hiddink
The CF problem is worrying.
Bertrand Traore is the obvious choice, but I can see him playing Pedro. That still means one of Kenedy or Traore has to play though.

Re: Guus Hiddink
Actually I would indeed bank on him starting shithouse Ramires out of position on the wing in such a lineup before someone like Kenedy, who actually belongs there.
