Real Madrid Academy boss used Barcelona's performance in El CLassico as a reference in Academy
Real Madrid were thrashed by Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on 21st November in what was one of Los Blancos's worst ever home defeats.
Well, that game and Barcelona's performance and attitude were used as an example to follow for those in charge of the Real Madrid youth academy, who sent a video, containing highlights of the Catalans' performance during their convincing Clásico win, to academy coaches.
The events in question took place the day after the big game. The club's academy holds a weekly meeting to analyse everything that happened to its teams over the course of the weekend. The meeting looks back over games and even analyses, in addition to final scores, different teams' overall performances. It is a meeting to discuss possible improvements and correct any mistakes.
The surprise came when coaches received a message on the morning of the meeting confirming that Barcelona were the team used as an example. The coaches looked at each other in disbelief at what was happening. Some of them even expressed their anger, saying that they should be using Real Madrid as an example, not Barcelona. However, their opinions fell on deaf ears. Everything continued according to the club's plans and coaches were told to relay the message to the academy players.

Bad thing. I would prefer for them to use Madrid as an example.

I don't see a problem with this.. I would rather they see unselfish footy rather than selfish stat padders
