How will Arsenal cope without Cazorla-Coquelin
Re: In how much trouble are Arsenal?
I don't think they are in much trouble to be honest. No disrespect to the PL, but there's nobody rising above the rest so to speak. It's pretty tight and all of them are struggling on different levels.
I do believe though that an all-fit Arsenal has a pretty good chance of winning the league. If Wenger can somehow still win until everybody comes back, the PL trophy will likely end up in the red side of London.

Re: In how much trouble are Arsenal?
I didn't say they will. I said they have a chance. Look around, there's no Sacchi's Milan or Di Stefano's Madrid over there. It's pretty close. Whoever manages to stay healthy and injury-free will win the league.
Besides, out of the three main contenders, Wenger is the smartest. Pellegrini and LVG are not top managers, in any way, shape or form.

Pellegrini is a lot better than some of you give him credit for.

That's the point though, they haven't stayed injury free.
On the contrary they lost both their starting CMs for months to come, while others are injured already.
Flamini, Ramsey, Chambers are now available. Ramsey will likely be injured soon again since he'll play every single minute right after returning from an injury.
Top 4 contention is fierce this season, at least that's what it looks like.
Wenger hasn't finished out of top 4 in decades, but it's always close affairs, due to these injury meets squad frugality reasons they always have.
It has hit them hard again, and maybe this time they won't make it.

Re: In how much trouble are Arsenal?
The thing is, all these injured players tend to come back in time for the run in which has been vital for us as far as top four goes. In fact, how this season is playing out is really no different to previous seasons, so at risk at taking things for granted, I'm not overly concerned about finishing outside the CL spots. And even if we did we'll just win the Europa League so
This season reminds me of the 13/14 season, where we were 5 points clear at the top at this stage and City and Chelsea were inconsistent and United were suffering under Moyes. That was also a big chance for us to win the league, but we had an awful Feb-April. And yes, long-term injuries to key players played a part in that. That's why I suggest those saying we're good to win the league should be careful.

Re: In how much trouble are Arsenal?
However, this season places are very close together. Looks so far as if fine margins can make a difference between 2nd and 6th.
Has there ever been a season where the upper half was so congested at this stage?
Only 10 points separating 1st from 11th after 15 games?

Re: In how much trouble are Arsenal?
We are not in 'trouble'. This is just business as usual.
We'll just end up winning a top 4 trophy and give another speech at the next AGM about moving forward, being consistent and crafting Marketing 101 Cliches on questions regarding 'payments for services' to Silent Stan and 'maintaining status quo ticket prices'.

Why was thus bumped? They have a 5 point gap with United, their 4th place trophy is assured

Only two people are smoking according to the poll
Which is probably Hans and his alternate account Simon.

Making this thread got Arsenal through to the CL knockouts and kept them near top spot in the league, even above City at times.
The effect has waned. Declining results have come to my attention recently.
This, I bumped thus thread.
