Noticed too. A 4 episode long series of Uzumaki got picked up by...toonami lol. Wish they wouldn't have done that. Junjo is a genius but his mangas will never translate well into anime.

Read a bit of to your eternity and it's not easy to get into.

it's an interesting series tbh, I really enjoyed it until it's major arc where it's kinda meh to me, but there are some very interesting developments in it

anyway I'm not complaining, it's nice to see some more interesting anime instead of the usual nonsense

friend was telling me good things about psycho pass season 3 so I plan to watch that now it's concluded, season 2 was dreadful

tbf I've heard that too but I trust this guy...kinda

I'm 60 chapters into Solo Leveling that insanely hyped webtoon, not really my kinda thing but I see the appeal

absolutely not worthy of the hype tho

want to thank main men rg and firenze for introducing me to vinland saga, very enjoyable so far (just finished epi 8 ). animation is top notch. hope we evolve from this revenge story soon though, it feels like very familiar territory.

You should be pleased if you stick with it. Best episodes come in the last third and it has some of the best character development in anime/manga IMO. Post your thoughts when you're done

Ok so the last 3rd was properly epic, glad I stuck with it.

Some thoughts

Spoiler:

Overall pretty good but it didn't leave me itching to go read the manga and see how things end up, mostly because Thorfinn is not that interesting a character and Askeladd's arc is complete. Will probably watch future seasons if/when they happen.

Canute's shift is something that trips a lot of people up, pretty much the only complaint I've seen. After the prologue almost everyone probably feels the same way, Thorfinn wasn't that interesting to me and I was very skeptical about him carrying the series, but his arc and development are very interesting, the Manga takes on a different tone though. I'm still not sure if it'll get other seasons. Prologue is the best part.

Thorfinn's lack of character is on purpose because he really didn't develop from the age of 6 till 14 until the final episode where he finally got the message his dad (and then 2nd dad) were trying to tell him. His father's daggers falling from his hand was quite symbolic.

Prologue is Askeladd's story so that's why is really most people's favourite. Thorfinn's story begins in the 2nd arc. But it's also the slowest arc of the series so far due to certain events. Which is why i am not sure we'll get another season. People will complain as there is 0 action in it.

well, there's a decent amount of action in the previous arc of THorfinn's story but yeah, it's like a 95% character driven story 5% action from here on out.
