RM won't want to lose 2 back to 2 games especially at home and to us. We're also in worse shape when we come back from international break and without Messi/Rakitic.

Am i the only to consider Rakitics absence as an improvement? He's been woeful and he's slow as a turtle.

Messi will be ready for the clasico. It is up to him to decide on the matchday.

Rakitic, recovering from a calf injury, is expected to be available for game against Madrid. Could rejoin group training next week. [sport]

Re: EL CLASICO 2015
I rate the guy but he has been abysmal this season. At this particular moment I don't consider his absence as a great loss. Roberto is doing fine and is faster to react/track back this season. The Croat has been somewhat off this term and I don't expect him to magically turn on overnight. Roberto has got his momentum going, I fully believe that he can cope with the pressure.

So basically you sayin unfit Rakitic> Roberto? Fair enough, but then don't complain in other threads about not using the youth. I think it kind of collides with each other.

Ha that's me two mouthed Snake
Seriously though I do want youngsters to be given chance but not in big matches like this one. Its too much responsibility to handle not evryone is mentally tough as Busi to play CL final at 20. God forbid if he does some mistakes it might negatively affect him. Youngsters should always be cushioned imo at early stages. Tough love is all gud but sometimes it may affect player negatively. I don't mind giving chance to any youngsters in league or CDR initial stages though. Big matches are time to reap not to sow.

Agreed, I would only play Rakitic if he is in top form, otherwise give Roberto a well deserved chance to start. If Rakitic is fully fit, we could play Roberto as RB though, he has been doing a much better job than Alves either. Although it's a bigger gamble so maybe better keep things simple.
@Pirlo: one day, they have to start a big match, otherwise they'll never have experience, hence not experienced enough to start a big match, and the circle goes on.

Re: EL CLASICO 2015
CdR matches are basically Segunda Divison matches. You learn to ride a bike by actually riding on it. Roberto will only know what big game means when he actually plays one. He's almost 24- no need at all to act like we're throwing a kitten amongst a pack of wolves.

Re: EL CLASICO 2015
If Messi were completely fit I would be sure that this game would definitely not end up in a loss the way Neymar, Suarez, Busquets and Iniesta are playing and the way Benitez has reintroduced Mourinho-esque cowardice tactics in Madrid. But without Messi I'm still on the fence.

I'm already preparing the "Is Uncle Flo the Most Knowledgable Man in Football Part II" thread as we speak, if that comforts you.

Re: EL CLASICO 2015
No need to go down to jinxing. I think we will get them by the necks and give them a lesson of how to play football. Benitez is Mourinho 1.1 bascially, how stupid you must be to replace Ancelotti with him, my gosh they're making it too easy for Barca.
