Well, that's the January window. No one wants to sell even semi-important players in the middle of the season and probably the players accept it themselves, too, that it's easier to get a transfer in the summer if they want to move.

I wanted him at Milan , even though i can't say there was ever any hope with Galliani but yeah.. If that's true Banega will be an impressive move , he will solve a lot of the issues in the midfield for Inter . It's been plain obvious how much Inter misses a player like him .  

As i see it , if you get Banega , a better RW (Lavezzi ?) and make some depth adjustments , Inter can be very strong next season .

Doubt there's anything the Doumbia stuff but to be frank he does fit the bill in terms of what we need. Perez and Mitrovic are both very promising but they are not good finishers at the moment, as they are relative kids who are still developing and relegation dog fight isn't exactly the best environment for that.

Newcastle could be pretty tidy if they get Doumbia and Siqueira.


Not too shabby. That's a top half team with a good manager.

On paper maybe not in reality though.

That team still has no athleticism or defensive ability in the middle, no width and other than Mbemba none of them can defend to a decent level.

There's something to be said for making a balanced an effective unit where 11 players contribute to hiding weaknesses and maximizing strengths. Something even with these supposed signings we are still nowhere close to finding and still have massive holes which can and will be exploited.

McClaren should be doing better but it's a poorly built squad based purely on looking for the best deal instead of the best fit.

I dunno. I think the only thing it's really missing (aside from obvious top end quality outside of maybe Wijnaldum) is a really good DM. Anita/Tiote don't really cut it. In that sense if they had one a 4-1-4-1 would suit them really well, but I still think if they're set up properly the line-up above is capable of being a top half team. Almost every team has holes; it's about how you play to minimize the impact of them.
