Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
I knew we could make the comeback...great to see that.We should have been more aggresive offensively since the start but at least we still have our chances to go through.Looks like Allegri was too afraid to have a more offensive approach because we missed Chiellini and the typical back 3.
Next game is weeks away, hopefully we don't suffer injuries and have all players in good shape.
Back 3 and Cuadrado/Sandro on the wings for a deadly counter-attack.
Fino ala fine!!!

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
The hand on vidal wasn't a clear penaltt IMO, because his hand was close to his body and pogba hit his hand, its not like vidal intended to use his hand. But I think bayern's second goal is not right. There was a foul on bonbon IMO.

Did anyone notice that our goals came from the youngest players who played in our team yesterday? 22 year old each

First CL goals for both players by the way
Vidal's handball wasn't a penalty, I agree.

Yep They are also saying that the first goal for Bayern was not supposed to count, because Mandzu was covering buffon's sight.

There are two parts... intent and whether you hand/arm in an unnatural position. Vidal obviously put his arms in a position intended to block a shot or pass. You can't do that. That's why you tell defenders to put their hands behind their backs if they intend to block like that. It was a dead cold PK that the ref didn't call. Intent comes into play if you were not trying to block the shot and ball hits your arm/hand. If it's accidental under this scenario, no pk.
But again, if you are going for the block... that's automatically intent. So if the ball strikes your arms/hand unless they are absolutely glued to your body = pk.

If you're going to clamor for a penalty from that Vidal handball, you'll have to give us at least one penalty from Bonnucci pulling Lewa's shirt. I don't want it though, neither should you want the Vidal one. Both are not given for a reason.
But instead of whinning about that, rather explain to me how Mandzukic could finish that game without even getting booked lol.

I'm not whinning about the penalty. I'm saying why is there all this media talk about a supposed to be penalty. The way sportsczy says makes it look like it is more likely to be one. As for a penalty for bonbons pull, yeah that is much clearer than vidal's handball.
I have doubts on bayerns goals though, the second one especially.
Nonetheless Bayern deserved to score 2 goals in ghe first half.

It's not whining. Lewa pulls and tugs just as much as the defenders... that's never called unless you actually pull a player away or down. However, on a direct scoring opportunity with the ball involved, that's ALWAYS a foul. If the ball wasn't there and Vidal was reasonably pulling and tugging at Pogba, that's fair play because the refs let it go on both sides.
Using straw man fallacies is really not good debating Hans.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
It is important that juventus has managed to be one of the best once again, as i used to remember this club on the times of zidane, nedved
Ucl has always been unpredictable, however its important that juventus has managed to play with some dignity, and even if welose the game it means we leave with dignity, if we win thats even better, but there has to be reasonable expctations that one has from his favorite club about ucl, its just the way it is, really co, and really difficult,

Sadly. he didn't train today too... So this could be more serious than expected. I hope that we rely on Rugani more now tbh. 352 is really essential. I would use it vs Bayern even if it meant playing Rugani. They play kimmich, originally a cm in the defense. At least we got a true CB.

Hopefully he can recover in time.We need him badly.
Agree on playing Rugani,it will be a huge pressure on him though.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
I like the 352 much more right now, but if Allegri didn't play him in the first leg its cause he didn't trust him, and I give Max full confidence on that. He is the kind of manager to trust youngsters and introduce them very well, so I believe that he is right when starts him or bench him in munich.
He started Sturaro against Madrid out of nowhere, started Coman in the first game of both seasons. Played Pato all the time, started Niang against Barca at the camp nou at like 18/19 years old. Relied on Morata for our CL knockouts. Gave El Shaarawy his breakthrough and made him shine more than anyone since. Started De Sciglio. And more that I'm sure I'm forgetting.
For youngsters, I trust him 100%.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
Former Milan Coach Arrigo Sacchi says the Scudetto isn’t enough for Juventus - “what counts is the Champions League”.
The Bianconeri are aiming for a fifth title in a row this season, and currently sit three points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A.
However, despite Massimiliano Allegri’s side reaching the Champions League final last season, Sacchi believes they must show more on the European stage.
“Juve are 10 years ahead of the others in terms of cohesion and competence,” the former Italy CT explained to La Presse.“They have a limited verbiage though. At Milan we had three: to win, to convince, to entertain. Juve have one: to win.
“They’ll say ‘In Italy we keep winning’ and I’ll say Rosenborg always win the League title in Norway, but what counts is the Champions League, and Juve struggle in europe"
I feel the same.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
I agree that we need to look to europe, but I don't buy that last sentence about struggling in europe. This is a new team, a new president and new directors.
Since they came in, we've had 3 seasons in europe:
-CL Quarter finals, lost to the champions.
-EL Semifinals
-CL Final
We shouldn't have gone to the EL that second year, but that is still a very good record. A team can't just jump to european dominance, you have to build that. How long was Madrid flopping in europe before Mou? or Dortmund in those first 2 league wins? Bayern and Barca have been battling at the top for a very long time. Arsenal have been stuck for many years. Chelsea struggled for it as well.
The current season started as a mess, yet we still beat high-flying City when they were killing it in the EPL cause we have that european mentality for the big game now. We'll win or lose against Bayern, but I bet that the team that wins won't have a harder game this season except for eventually playing Barca.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
Remember how we looked like before Conte and co.
Remember Krasic and Pepe saving us in many games. Marchisio as a left winger. Bonucci costing us a goal every few games. An old Del Piero being our biggest spark in attack. Melo and Sissokho. Poulsen, Grygera, De Ceglie, Elia, Amauri, Etc. 2 7th place finishes.
1 year later Juve won the league undefeated. 2 years later they won the league again and made it to the quarters of the CL taking out the defending champions in the first season in europe. 3 years later Juve broke 100 points and got to EL semis. 4 years later Juve won the domestic double and finished second in the CL, one game away from the treble.
Rincon is impressed.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
I think the best attitude to go into the match against Bayern is that we have to attack from the start, ensure we get an early goal then we have to keep a clean sheet until the end of the first half IF possible. But, we need to play on the counter after we score unless bayern's defense goes chaotic after we score. In the second half we should still rely on cointer attacking and Morata should be unleashed at some point. If we stay pussies from the start of the match like the home game, then the possibility of qualifying is very low.
Roma yesterday did okay, but they really lacked finishing, something I think Juve doesn't have trouble with. Roma had some really good chances but they didn't use them properly. Juve's game should be similar, but we have a greater chance of qualifying than Roma did yesterday. I believe that we can do it if the attitude is right.

Re: Champions League campaign 2015/2016
Agree with all that. The hardest will be going 1-0. Keeping them from scoring while attacking will be as hard as football can be.
We really need Chiellini back. I would play Sturaro as well, we'll need his energy. Our usual 3-5-2. Bringing Morata/Zaza, Cuadrado, Sandro as things go along.
