Derby della Madonnina/Derby Di Milano Empty Derby della Madonnina/Derby Di Milano

Post by InterMalia Fri Sep 11, 2015 10:12 pm

Sunday 13 September: 19:45 GMT..Although it has lost much of its glamour in recent years this is still the worlds biggest city derby. 10 UCL, 5 UEFA super cups, 3 EL, 7 FIFA cwc, and a grand total of 86 cups between the two teams. It obviously deserves it's own thread imho.

Puny derby. Smile

Barcelona alone has 85 trophies, also think Real has stolen few.

This because noone cares about the Coppa Italia here.

Congrats on winning more Gamper trophies. Much more important than winning more European Cups/CLs.

How about we return to the topic since Barca's trophy count is not relevant.

Are we sure Andrij Shevchenko can't play on Sunday ?
Who can confirm it to me ? (it's okay also on PM ). I have still the nightmare to have him against in a derby , nightmare is the perfect word to describe him . You knew he'd scored you  in one way or the other. Even when he was finished, he was knocking out Inter from CL group stage with Dinamo Kyev, then we got a comeback from 1-0 to 1-2 in 90' minute Laughing and basically we won the CL that day . But oh , a r eal nightmare the Zar

The first derby for me was a sweet memory though , we won 3-0 with 2 goals scored by Diego Pablo Simeone and 1 by Ronaldo.
I'm going to control if I have the gray hair after it. Passed so time.
I remind also there was the use to throw the oranges behind the GK in 90's Laughing
Pagliuca and Abbiati to collect the oranges is one of my first tv memories.
I remind even Di Biagio scored in 2001 on free kick why Abbiati was picking up an orange Laughing

About this derby ... it's unpredictable and not just because it's the 3rd matchday.
Miranda is injured and this is a problem for us considering the scrub alternatives ( paradoxically, Icardi's injure 'd be less problematic , Ljajic looks like fit )
Mancini tried also Medel as CB but I believe it can work just in Copa America.
Besides Luiz Adriano - Medel would be a disproportionate difference on cm .
Murillo - Bacca will be the other battle 1 vs 1 , Murillo on Bacca because they'are both fast player . A Columbian battle grown in La Liga, very interesting .

As Robes said, nobody knows what's going to happen in this game. Both teams' line-ups are unsettled and both sides have some injuries: Milan (Bertolacci, Antonelli, Menez, Mexes, Niang); Inter (Miranda, Dodo, Biabiany).

that image of materazzi and costa was so epic, the camera operator that caught back should have been recognized, that's something u see in football ads urging for respect and non-violence in football.

Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic bets against Inter's Roberto Mancini: 'The derby winner makes a donation for migrants'.

The confrontation between the renewed squads of the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri is the highlight of Serie A's Week 3, and it seems the 46-year-old is looking to capitalise on the media's attention for a noble cause.

In an open letter sent to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Mihajlovic offered his rival Mancini a bet.

In the Serbian's terms, the winner of the derby will pay an unspecified amount to a charity organisation to be chosen together.

Should the game end in a draw, the sum will be doubled as both parties will make the donation.

Mihajlovic suggested organisations that helped migrants as a way to kick off the bet on this game, on account of the current international crisis.

Anyway who cares about balon d'or TBH , we never were lucky with this weird award, not even a Grande Inter player won it with Luis Suarez ( Denis Law preferred to him .. Suarez won it with Barca and not in his prime under us ) and Facchetti 2nd place
imo the greatest honour for Milano consists on being the only city to have 2 clubs as Champions League winners
Still curious to observe how much it will resist this record
City can breake but they still are shit in CL , London has taken much time for 1 team ...

I can't remember my first Milan derby but I do know which one I remember the most. As someone who has a genuine soft spot for Inter, seeing them get walloped 6-0 did not sit easy with me. At all.

In case Robes forgot

Probable line-ups:
Derby della Madonnina/Derby Di Milano COwt7h7VEAA88eC
..The most creative player on the field will be glass man Montolivo Laughing

I can't see us winning this. Milan beat us twice already in preseason and haven't changed a bit. While we will have at least 2/3 new faces since we last met. It's gonna take a while for this side to get and I wouldn't be disappointed with a draw at all.

... but expecially Medel as CB
His battle with Luiz Adriano lol He can't take a header even by mistake
I hate when Mancini acts as tactical genius ( who reminds that Burdisso DM ? )  and his experiments punctually reveal to be a fiasco.

m8 Medel shut down Messi, Aguero, Higuain etc at CB. Mancini got this. 6-0 for Inter.
