Re: Champions League Draw 2015/16: Group Stage
Don't underestimate Lucien Favre. He always needs a little time at the beginning of the seasin until Gladbach really start. (Last season they started with two very lucky draws and people were worried, too).Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Stahp lol, those two are miles better than Sevilla and Gladbach. Especially are Gladbach who are nowhere near the team that qualified last season.

Gladbach will probably lose every single one of their games

I'm not underestimating them, it's just the CL finalists and Man City are much better them. Same goes for Sevilla, i'm just being realistic.
Also ES fair enough.

A German team in CL other than Bayern and most recently BVB, there's only 1 way it's going to play out....... Will cop 6+ goals over 2 legsrwo power wrote:Don't underestimate Lucien Favre. I think Leverkusen will do well though, until it comes to qualifying on Match 5 or 6 in which case they will capitulate as per usual

Last season, Gladbach were not really much worse than Sevilla, they just didn't manage to convert their numerous chances.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:I'm not underestimating them, it's just the CL finalists and Man City are much better them. Same goes for Sevilla, i'm just being realistic.
And as a matter of fact, they are still really good in counter attacking, and attacking teams are a better match-up for them than defensive teams. (And none of the teams can press as well as Dortmund, which is an achilles heal of Gladbach).

When i say same goes for Sevilla, i mean that City and Juventus are much better than them. Not Sevilla are much better than Gladbach

That's irrelevant when it comes to them qualifying though, you'd expect both Roma and Leverkusen to lose to Barca tbf.MaraVilla wrote:Probably be on -10 goals after barca twiceGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:I think Leverkusen will do well though, until it comes to qualifying on Match 5 or 6 in which case they will capitulate as per usual

Re: Champions League Draw 2015/16: Group Stage
Doesn't matter if groups are predictable or not, doesn't mean they won't be interesting. If football is so predictable, how come there are always surprises, I bet there will be many upsets in at least a couple of groups, it always happen. Also there are many refreshing teams this season like Valencia, Lyon, Dinamo Kiev, BMG, el Wolfsburgo, it's a shame Lazio wasn't in there as well but really looking forward to some teams that are back in CL after years of absence.

LOL, from the Gladbach forum about ManCity as an opponent of BMG: "Now I can understand why they so desperately need De Bruyne!"

Never said that, not sure why it's interpreted as such tbh.BusterLfc wrote:Doesn't matter if groups are predictable or not, doesn't mean they won't be interesting. Leverkusen - Barca is gonna be interesting. Leverkusen are at their best when they play against teams who play from the back.
Also the UPOTY award's video packages was quite funny. While Suarez and Messi had footage of them doing nutmegs and scoring great individual goals, all of Ronaldo's were tap ins

Re: Champions League Draw 2015/16: Group Stage
City best team on paper by a fair margin.Man EPL fans do crack me up.as if reaching a CL final doesn't mean anything.
And if only football was about looking at individual quality of the players while ignoring tactics, work ethic and chemistry.

Calma lol, you are miles better than everyone in that group not called Man City and you'll probably top them as well.
There's a lot of new signings. I'm worried to be honest.
No attacking midfielder yet either
Then again, Juventus plays better against better teams in Europe

Meh. City and sevilla to qualify from that group easily while missi and ronaldo to probably win the top scorers award from the group stages as usual with double digit figures, even before the competition starts proper..
