Did anyone else other than me die a little each time when what felt like every Fio player were dropping to the ground for a FK and the ref was actually giving it to them but when the exact same circumstances happend to our players nothing got called?

His positioning sense still seems to be a little off and he got called for alot of fouls for constantly knocking over Fiorentinas defenders, but his linkup play was excellent. Overall he was actually one of the few bright spots today in my opinion along with Marchisio, Padoin, and Tevez.

Everyone here thinks it's a coincidence defence collapsed after marchisio was gone?

-| Former Players Thread| - - Page 17 Empty Vidal to pen Juventus contract

Post by DeviAngel Fri Nov 01, 2013 2:11 pm

Arturo Vidal could put pen to paper on a new contract with Italian champions Juventus next week.

That is according to Tuttosport, who are suggesting the Chilean will renew with the Turin giants after Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old, signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, is currently committed to the outfit until June 2016.

The South American is set to put pen to paper on a new improved deal, worth around €4m a season, until 2018.

Vidal has made 94 appearances in competitive games for the Bianconeri, scoring 28 goals in the process.

-| Former Players Thread| - - Page 17 Empty Vidal: 'My first ever hat-trick!'

Post by DeviAngel Thu Nov 28, 2013 3:02 am

Arturo Vidal celebrated his first hat-trick, a 3-1 Juventus victory over Copenhagen and the imminent arrival of a daughter.

“It’s the first hat-trick of my career and I’m taking the ball back home. It’s a gift for my son, to show him when I played this game. We are expecting a little girl now, so I’m very happy,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

There were doubts over whether Vidal would play this game, as he is on a yellow card and risked suspension for the crucial trip to Galatasaray.

“There was some fear, as we knew this was an important game for us, but the Coach told us the important thing was to win, so I could play.”

The Chilean has become a key figure in their midfield and beyond, as he scored a hat-trick and against Livorno on Sunday played in defence.

“I think it is a quality of mine that I am always happy. I know how important it is for me to wear the Juventus jersey and I always try to give my all.

“I haven’t played as a goalkeeper yet, but the Coach might test me out there! There is very little to go until we sign the new contract. I could sign it tomorrow or the day after, I’m just waiting for the club.”

Oh, come on... you guys give us so much crap about penalties and now Vidal has racked up a hattrick where 2/3 goals were pens. Does that even count? Laughing

Stop it right there Forza pls. Only Penalteli scores penos , Vidal would never do that willingly .

The fact is , fact , if you take a closer look at the videos , you can see his teammates begging him really to take these , because nobody could bare the shame of scoring 2 penos in a CL game , Vidal actually sacrificed himself for the team there .

Being a Milan fan around the holidays must be tough. It's like sitting down to have a family dinner but you're alone. Looking under the Christmas tree and seeing nothing. Checking your stocking on Christmas morning and finding nothing.

That empty feeling.

Because Milan is horrible.

At least Vidal scored his penalties. Stay strong for Mario

I don't get the hype with this hat trick either considering 2 of them were penalties, he still had an amazing match though, and he is a great penalty killer. So why not celebrate Very Happy

i dont care how he got the hattrick, the good thing is that he did it.

Besides, Forza, i would be more preoccupied abou Milan than about how Vidal scored his 3 goals.....

So true , 5 goals in the CL from 4 penos(impressive though)... Penalteli must be so jelly of that . I wish Juventus at least double the penos for Vidal to claim top scorer too .

As for Milan , we may have been horrible for the best part , but we at least didn't have to reach November 27th to win in Europe , unlike the awesomeness which defines Juventus Laughing.

See, this is why I love about our Milanese cousins over here. No matter how bad their own club is doing (And, wow is it bad) they always believe that they are in a position to laugh at other clubs Laughing

It's kind of like the poor guy who struggles to pay his rent, laughing at the Pro footballer for writing off his £200,000 Ferrari. Proud

At least our penalties have been legit. Unlike the standard Balotelli dive.

But hey, i'm glad Milan are almost through to the CL last 16, because you don't know what you've got until it's gone. You'll miss CL football for the forseeable future so you might aswell enjoy this well it lasts.

The awesomeness is being in a position to advance to the knockout stage while being first in the league Smile

Pretty sure the best Milan can finish in their group is second, which is where Juventus should finish. So, yeah, great point- Juventus did start slowly in the champions league.

so that's what it is hey? Ok , then , the same applies to us in the league then , i don't see why not , this is just a slow start , one win sets it all perfect :coffee:

And we may be finishing 2nd unless hell gets frozen , but we have better chances to do so than Juventus. Your situation is very complicated . You have to win at all costs against a side that will play to stay in Europe , not just in the CL. If they have a full team , i wouldn't sound so confident , no matter how they did against Real.
