A big question is why isn't Neymar playing? He didnt even play in Copa America due to his own stupidity. He should have been the first person in training camp.

Over at Barcelona FC, they are probably pointing at the 4 trophies they won this year and assuring everything is fine.

Vermaelen, Mathieu, Adriano, Bartra, Sergi Roberto, Rafinha and Pedro are dead wood. Replace these 7 players with 3 players (1 CB, 1 CM, 1 winger) that have actual quality and can slot in seamlessly when injuries occur à la Xavi last season and Barca is much better off. Nobody expected a 4-0 but with a midfield of Mascherano-Rafinha-Roberto it was always going to be a loss. Messi didn't see much of the ball because of those scrubs.

Ter Scrubgen looks like wanna be Neuer with decision making of a 5 year old. His coming out, corner positioning etc are just under the assumption that opponents are just scrubs, way too risky and way too cocky.

whats with all the barca had no starters rubbish I am hearing. They conceded 2/3 more goals after the starters came on. Dont blame the bench players it wasn't their fault

Bilbao only need 1 goal and Barca would need to score 6. Now Barca can obviously do that but not against Bilbao without conceding a couple more

With Neymar it's entirely possible to make it 4-0 and then take it to extra time in Camp Nou. Without Neymar and with the first Liga game starting a couple days later it's a completely pointless attempt that will do nothing but cost unnecessary energy for a pointless trophy.

It's a delicate situation anyhow. Football has a strong psychological component. Playing the B team and losing again could very well have a negative impact on the starting players a couple days later even if they didn't play the Supercup game and also give Athletic extra motivation to make it 3 victories in a row.

I'm not really mad though. Disappointed but not mad. I didn't expect the previous season to repeat itself. Watch Messi go into 12/13 sleepwalking mode, Alves and Pique to go back to pre 2015 form, Neymar, Alba and Iniesta to get constantly injured etc. etc. Post treble complacency will hit the squad hard.

What is a Neuer wannabe? Sweeper keepers have long existed before Neuer came on to the scene.
MAtS' poor decision making isn't unique to his case, his sweeping has bailed out Barca in the past, and will continue to do so. I hope he continues to play his natural game despite the recent development.

Scrubgen is Neuer wanna be in the sense that he thinks he has high intelligence when sweeping things up, while he dont.

Average shot stopper who struggles with catching crosses and defending corners, absolutely fantastic with the ball at his feet but that is exactly his only stand out trait. His decision making is suspect as well, look at the Gamper trophy game he almost conceded a similar goal in that game also. Playing what type of keeper is irrelevant when making a mistake, a mistake will always be mistake.

I also find it hilarious that this mistake is compared to Neuer's mistake against stankovic.Any one with brain cells can see that Diego Milito was clearly on course to one on one in that situation,still a mistake since he cleared it into the center instead of side ways.

While here is Ter Scrubgen, acres of space and no one to challenge him. I think closest player to him was Barcelona center back and the ball was going to box any way.Heck he could even control it on chest and clear it but he wanted to show boat and lol thats fine. What was not fine was he made the same mistake of clearing the ball to center. These types of goals does not happen due to players skills, mainly these type of goals happen due to goalkeepers underestimating the opposition.

A bout is a Stegen fan, didn't see that one coming at all. Furthermore, as much as I actually like the said poster's posts and PoV, De Gea is actually worth the praise he is receiving and it is not like watching Utd is some hard task, pretty easy to watch their games.

So I'm honestly not sure how or why she would consider De Gea so...poorly.

It's fun to be judgemental after 2 games though.

He's still only 23. I hope he keeps doing what he's doing and keeps being confident despite all the trash talk from jelly assbutts.

If people and posters (including here) can take a judgmental dump on Cristiano despite him being a ridiculously exceptional footballer, not sure how dear Stergen can get away from (unfair?) criticism.

I just, I mean i didn't see anyone calling him Scrubgen when he was lifting and kissing the shiny Champs Leauge trophy.

He was very solid throughout the entire campaign against the champions of every top leauge. But after a few summer games he's a scrub and doesn't have a future.

I know that you're as good as your last game etc but i really don't like where this is going.
