Sting ffs.
Using him in the wrong storyline though lol, should have interfered at SS in the Taker/Lesnar match.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated the Wyatt Family in a match where the live crowd treated the two fan favorites very differently. Ambrose is beloved by the Brooklyn audience, but Reigns was booed heavily during all of his high spots. Austin knows the only fix for Reigns.
“That’s the Brooklyn crowd,” said Austin. “They’re pretty hardcore, they’ve seen a lot. They booed him pretty good during the match. But the finish caught me the wrong way. Ambrose hit ‘Dirty Deeds,’ and then tags in Roman to finish off Bray Wyatt with the spear. So ‘Dirty Deeds’ wasn’t good enough because they wanted Roman to go over, but they wanted Dean to get his s--- in, too.”
Reigns also disappeared outside the ring for a portion of the match, which the crowd immediately criticized him for during the action.
“Reigns will eventually be a superstar who is going to draw you some money, but it’s clear he has to undergo a strong, organic heel turn,” explained Austin. “It’s damn near a mirror image of what The Rock did back in the day. He needs to walk through the fire, get burned, have the [WWE] Universe hate him, and then they’ll eventually end up loving him forever more.
“He’s got a great look. And, when he was with the Shield, doing one-third of the work, he’d come in with power moves and pop the crowd. All of a sudden, he became the favorite and heir apparent. The problem is, when they broke up the Shield, he got exposed. He doesn’t have enough tools right now in his tool box to straighten together a match, with some different bump sets and working a body part. I think he needs to do a little bit of homework and add some more offensive moves. Daniel Bryan carried him to a hell of a match at Fastlane and he’s been in a handful of really good matches with people that can carry him. I like the guy, I really do, and I think he’s going to be a big star one of these days. But here’s the thing–nothing is guaranteed in this business.”

Reigns needs to turn heel and work on a new gimmick in the midcard. A gimmick that's an extension of his own personality and not forced. His ring work is getting better, not everyone has to be a 5.22222* Meltzer rated fapping indyriffic uppercut spamming flipper.

As noted, Sting vs. Seth Rollins at September’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
It was noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon has not signed off on Rollins defending his WWE United States Title belt at Night of Champions yet. However, it was also noted that Rollins likely will be pulling double duty that night.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
What change is this Paige? Calling up a few NXT divas doesn't make divas segments less of a piss break. Divas should simply be 2 minute eye candy. No one wants to see them wrestle.
Some of the WWE Divas were not happy with how the fans in Brooklyn reacted to the Team Bella vs. Team PCB match last night on RAW. Paige tweeted the following but quickly deleted it:
"You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!"
Below are posts from Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella:

So proud of my Foxy @thefoxxyone but the Brooklyn crowd can kiss my ass!

Where's my shorts?! Haha #TeamBella rises! Oh and WWE Brooklyn shame on you for disrespecting women that put their bodies on the line for your entertainment. As for the ones that supported us, THANK YOU! You make it worth working so hard and having this revolution!

If it's good why not? Diva division in attitude era was great and people wanted to see wrestle, they don't have to be just something nice to look at.

Pretty sure the divas division in the AE was Sunny and Sable stripping every week. Oh and Chyna was HHH's muscle.

Imo most of the matches on RAW are filler anyway, it's not just the divas. Only 2 things that matter are Cena and the main event scene.
RAW should be 2 hours again and should be used to build stories through promos, backstage segments etc. PPV's for the longer matches. Which is how it was in the AE.

Maybe its because nobody cares about tag matches every week were their is zero development in the storyline?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
Lol I guess it's not the Diva's fault but the draw with Wrestling (Long term not short term soft core eye candy) has been larger than life characters/MEN going at each others throats and entering great personal feuds with each other.
Ain't no generic hot diva larger than life and in filler segments with cringy stereotypical girl trash talk the main crowd I.E men will never invest in that.
They don't even have a Diva storyline most of the time it's just random back and forth matches with friends becoming enemies and vice verse every 2 Weeks.
The Revolution is just a catchy term but no matter what they do with Diva's they will never draw anywhere close to half decent male led storylines. Unless they go the sexist eye candy route, which they won't. That's just how it is.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
Poorly written promos, boring matches, cringe phrases, what is there to like about this revolution?
On Saturday 14000 people erupted from their seats when a woman won the title and a lot of them were moved to tears after the culmination of a year long storyline. Stephanie and HHH himself started crying backstage. If they do Divas storyline and write matches the same way they like in NXT, people won't shit on it. Just like they did not shit on Lita and Trish main eventing RAW and trying to kill each other in their matches.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
Thing is though the NXT women are on a similar level to the men on NXT, with it being developmental and all, so it's more acceptable to watch them. Plus the audience is full of smarks who'd gladly watch a 60 min 2/3 falls iron man match every segment.
Also most of the goat divas matches for NXT are on PPVs. People seem to be comparing NXT womens PPV matches to RAW's divas segments, doesn't make sense imo.

MT has a point, trying to transition a big diva moment on to current RAW and that format would be very difficult. Less accepting crowd, much less accepting.

1) I'm a smark if that's the classification.
Anyway, they should be comparing the PPV of a developmental program to the general show because it's the MAIN SHOW. You should already be able to outperform the developmental wrestlers, but this comes back to the lack of backing and push that the WWE has for anybody not named............. the asshole who should not be named.
They have real talent with the Divas and they are just wasting it.

The same type of crowd that watches NXT was the same type of crowd on RAW last night. No crowd anywhere would accept that boring ass six tag match and terrible mic work that preceded it. Any crowd would accept a match and buildup that Bayley vs Banks had on NXT.

Well we won't know till it happens.
Paige/AJ was supposed to be a great rivalry but it took months for people to even get interested in it. Ended up with no memorable matches till Bellas got involved

That's because AJ took some long break after Paige beat her the first time and the crowd were more interested in making chants about Phil Brooks at the time because of the all the stuff coming out with his problems with the company.
I legit don't even remember the last time Nikki Bella defended her title.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 22
The idea of doing Sting vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions next month reportedly came up about a week ago and was decided on just a few days before Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Regarding Sting’s appearance on RAW last night in the segment with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Rollins, PWInsider notes that the covered platform in the ring started out backstage and Sting was in there the whole time.
Crew members brought the box out on a forklift, raised some of the lighting boards at ringside to make way, and put the box into the ring with Sting inside.
