Re: Bacca vs Martinez
Bacca has no particular skillset outside of poaching though. You can feel that he hasn't played football his entire life like other pros. He averages less than 14 passes per game of which only 68 % find a teammate. Basically he doesn't even complete 10 successful passes in a full 90 minute game of football. He's also not particularly good at dribbling or anything else with ball at feet. He just finds the back of the net. Basically another Chicharito. Sevilla's style suits him perfectly. I don't have a clue how Milan will play but there is a chance he might totally flop for another team.
I've seen only a handful of M. Jackson but he was great in the CL whenever I've seen him. Came on against Shakhtar and scored a brace in less than half an hour, scored against Bayern, scored against Athletic Bilbao. He also has 92 goals in 132 games for Porto which is almost prime Falcao level. And like Falcao he also flops for Colombia. My bet is he'll GOAT for Atletico and Bacca will flop if he leaves Sevilla.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
Bacca has a ridiculous shoving technique so that should be a plus to teams that enjoy rustling the jimmies of other teams. Also, Bacca reminds me of what Negredo should have been: an above average forward who scores you goals once your team plays in way you get the best out of him.
Hackson has more to his game though but he has two last names as his name so he suffers in that department.
Voted Bacca due to La Liga though.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
@Fuss i don't think Bacca will be needed to do anything else outside his own skillset if we're getting Ibra, all Ibra needs is someone who can play off him, make runs and poach imo

I think if Jackson cost 15m rather than 35, more people would say Jackson. Just a feeling.

I'll admit i had some bias towards JM snubbing us
I haven't seen the 2 enough to compare , i just voted Bacca since we are apparently getting him

Glad to see everyone agreeing on the fact that Bacca is a superior striker, player and a person to Hackson Martinez. I wholeheartedly agree with all of you.
PS. welcome home Bacca.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
I do, depending on how you define regular.
But kick's post is answered by how little people actually are comparing the players. Basically every post is Bacca being picked with not a single shred of reasoning.
It is understandable even if you did watch them though, because they do very similar things. Some small differences, Jackson is more mobile generally and I think a bit more energetic defensively, Bacca is physically stronger and tougher. Jackson scores much better looking goals if that counts for anything.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
Can't believe how many actually voted Bacca the biggest tap in merchant in the game. And I'm not talking about Messi/Ronaldo "tap-ins", I mean literally scrappy tap ins, half his goals are penalties and the rest from rebounds, tap-ins. He's bang average.
Jackson is way more rounded, excellent shot with both feet and can score from any angle.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
I go with Jackson Martinez. Bacca is really a brutal tap in merchant. I doubt there's anyone who has scored more open goal goals this past 2 seasons. But he can be good for Milan, he is the colombian Inzaghi.
While I think Jackson Martinez is a bit better. Can score more difficult goals and has a bit more link up. They are scarily similar though.

Re: Bacca vs Martinez
Bacca has scored 10 goals this season and I can't remember one of them being a tap-in. Good thing you guys know what you're talking about though lol.
Meanwhile, Martinez has scored as many goals as the ALMIGHTY Fernando Torres this season

Bacca scores, but he doesn't score goals that mean anything. The talent is there, but he is mentally weak.
