That is the truth if you look at from my point of view. With that money spent, you expect them to be the team dominating Europe, reaching the Final of CL for at least 3 years in the last 7. (like Barca)

But of course, CR7 is the happiest man in RM, being the star player and all the spotlights shined at him...

We can still win the CL so I'm not that upset right now.. The CL is way better/more important

Not sure why we are blaming one player for the failings of the club. I won't be the first to admit CR7's faults I'll admit, but blaming him for one league title when most of our team doesn't do jack shit is not the answer. That's just not fair.

when you win title your star player get the focus and the contribution from others often get shadowed. similarly, when you loose the star player takes the large share of blame. ususally players like Messi and Cr are expected to perform and win title when a great team is formed around them. while i agree that CR has been scoring for fun for the last 3/4 seasons, in the end what it matters for the team is title won.
but regardless of what, if madrid go on winning Cl this year, that would be enough for him. title count in 7 years would then be pointless

the only reason i can think of why the team isn't winning leagues more often is simply because of cr

lets be honest if he wasn't so concerned with messi and just played normally week in and out, our campaigns would have gone much better, a lot of players would step up more play to their full potential, i have seen the team put cr scoring above actually trying to win the games plenty of times, that will alway be a recipe for trouble

i like Ronaldo blaming like the next guy, but that's a bit ridiculous to say.

if you guys had more depth (weird thing to say considering your madrid) and less injuries you would of won it this year.

if you guys had a president who didn't buy just for names and what's actually appropriate for the team then you guys would of won more trophies.

Without Ronaldo Madrid would be a far more balanced team. They were doing really well when he was banned for two games and played with far more fluidity than they do with him in the side.

He is more unselfish than any other season and overall Madrid have scored alot of goals, enough to win any season. But looking at it, they have just let in alot more goals than Barca.

this season, as well as last the fiasco in the final days of the league have been down to a multitude of reasons; but the biggest being a drop in form and fatigue, due mainly to ancelotti's lack of rotation (which has been generally agreed upon as the biggest culprit). also one cannot deny the form our rivals have had in the closing stages, with guys like neymar, suarez, and dani alves stepping up in the latter half this season, and messi's been messi, not much to say on that

btw that article is a bit simplistic, we've suffered a dip in form all over the pitch not just the forward line; its a similar problem we had even with mourinho, (apart from the strikers, he only rotated sparingly) it makes no sense signing back up players if you won't use them or give them a shot at fighting for a spot. we can bring out the best in the players if we allow competition to thrive within the squad. playing ramos in midfield when you have a defensive midfielder on the bench is madness

im not blaming him for this season just meant overall, idk how many madrid games you followed over the years, but as i said i have seen plenty of games where other player could step up, but end up differing to cr a lot, cause he flapping and screaming his lungs out for every chance

its got so bad that cr missed couple games and the entire team was clueless which shouldn't be the case at all, with so many star players, eventually the team got over it

just saying his ego and hunger for goals does more harm than good, what the point of breaking all these records if it means the team wins nothing?
