Re: Klopp's next gig
Hope he waits this out and finds the right opportunity. Tbh I don't see any great options for him to come in and pick up at the end of the season barring any shock sackings or something

Re: Klopp's next gig
Barcelona don't need him.
The Real Madrid job is a poisonous one, imo, he shouldn't take it even if it was offered.
Man City should be very keen. But their squad needs some serious attention. I could see Klopp either relishing that rebuilding challenge or being wary about it. No middle ground about it, really.
Liverpool, I don't know does he fancy us and do I fancy him. Dortmund's slump this season has been really drastic. One of my biggest issues with Rodgers is that he can be very slow to finding tactics, formations and line-ups that work. And that quick adaptation seems to have been lacking Klopp's Dortmund this season, too. But if we don't win the FA cup and don't finish in the top-4, I would have no qualms about changing the manager to someone of Klopp's reputation.
The coolest thing, though, would be if he took something like the Newcastle or West Ham job
Btw, would it be a total impossibility that Abramovic sacked Mourinho and hired Klopp if he wanted sexier football?

Re: Klopp's next gig
I doubt we'll sack Mourinho, we're about to win the league, we've been on top of the table since August and have only lost 3 times this season, in all comps.
minor improvements to the team and we'll be a force in Europe again.
No way will Roman give up all that for a gamble on Klopp (even if the gamble on Klopp isn't all that big)

I think he will end up at City.
Klopp at Barça? Stahp the nonsense! He fits to us like a shoe to a camel toe.

It's not about fit, it's about a shiny new toy to get elected. I didn't say I wanted him.
Anyways, the Liverpool fans hate on Rodgers is quite disappointing. It would be understandable if Liverpool were still playing like their pre 2015 form but they have been the best team I the premier league since the new year.

I don't see Klopp at Liverpool at all tbh.
Still hoping Arsenal convince Wenger to step down and they go for Klopp. Though I know it's not gonna happen

What if Klopp surprises everyone and goes into national team management for now?
Imagine Belgium under him and Holland also need someone competent.

Lots of exciting options, I agree Art.
Just afraid he goes a boring route like Pep did, and takes over City.

The City job isn't boring right now, they really need to rebuild their team successfully to compete at the top again (domestically). The boring thing would be if he ended up at Real Madrid.

Re: Klopp's next gig
Would prefer him to Carlos or Rafael Benítez/Sabella
1 week ago I was reading a post by Arsenal fans that Club isn't going to be the same after Wenger finally retires in 2017 (or later). Now they want to push him out for Klopp
That's Cute.

My favorite manager in the game. Always hoped he'd end up at United. The timing of this is very ominous.

They sum up everything wrong with modern football.
Also one of the best things about Klopps reign at Dortmund was his rapport with the fans and how unified the club were with the players and fans having a great appreciation of each other. Just couldn't see anything like that happening at Man City.

Re: Klopp's next gig
The problem with Klopp at Man City is that it'll just be wasteful. CFG have a very specific idea of what kind of football they want to play and what type of players they want and how they'll fit into their system. And they spend an insane amount of money doing it. Klopp will not be able to inject his own ideas and create his own philosophies and culture there. All man city really need is a decent man motivator to get all their star players to work together and keep them focused. Klopp is way more than that.
If he wants to go to England, if I was him, honeslty the most interesting destination is West Ham. No seriously. They are moving into that new stadium soon, they have more resources available to them than they have had in recent memory, and they seem like they are on the way up. He'll be able to inject his own style there and won't be immediately sacked for not winning everything there is to possibly win.
It's risky sure but most options in England will be. Arsenal and Liverpool won't have openings any time soon I don't think, at least not for a couple of years. So if he wants to get his feet wet in England I don't really see many better options. Maybe everton? Not sure if they'll sack Martinez. But they could work as well. Newcastle would be a good option if it wasn't for Ashley
