Where will Klopp go next?
Re: Klopp's next gig
Read somewhere that Zenit were in talks to get him on the last week of August, but ultimately couldn't due to time constraint

Re: Klopp's next gig
Honestly, If I were Liverpool. I'd have called him every day since he left Dortmund to try convince him to join Liverpool. Seems like a match made in heaven, tbh.

That would be logical, Kick. When was the last time Liverpool did something logical?Kick wrote:Honestly, If I were Liverpool. I'd have called him every day since he left Dortmund to try convince him to join Liverpool. Seems like a match made in heaven, tbh.

I have no problem with where he goes, with all respect to Spurs, as a club doesnt suit to Klopp!Art Morte wrote:Inbe4 he goes to Tottenham.

Re: Klopp's next gig
Don't think he'll need THAT much convincing once Liverpool actually need a manager and he's still unemployed.Don't call me James wrote:That would be logical, Kick. However, I also don't think calling him every day while still having Rodgers would be that smart.
Klopp is a collegial guy.
If Liverpool were smart, they have told him in summer that they love him but are willing to give Rodgers some more time, after that he'd be first choice.
If Rodgers then messes up and is fired, Klopp might appreciate the faith in managers shown by Liverpool in principle, which might be a plus in his choice.

the level of disrespects to the greatest managers in your clubs history is just astonishing with this post.
It's only been 5 games into the season and he's won the league for you last season. You surely must be just trolling.

Mate, I have held this position for years. I love Mou and will never forget what he has done for the club. But I have for a long time held the position that he is not best person for Chelsea. He is an all time great manager, but his strengths is not what Chelsea needs.
Relax mate don't worry I don't think we will target Klopp, I know you want him at Pool.

Fair enough. I didn't know you held the position for years. I just thought it was spur of the moment reaction.

^^ Unlikely to happen. Giggs will take over from lvg it looks like and after 1 or 2 moyes esque seasons of failure we will go after Pep if he is available.

Re: Klopp's next gig
All the talk in Germany is that Klopp is heading to Liverpool. He did an interview yesterday and was asked about his next club - his answer was that he would like to manage in England because his managerial style does not suit Spanish or Italian football and he also stated that he would not need to manage a team in the Champions League but it was more important to him that he chose a team where the fans would fully back him to put his philosophy in place, as the Dortmund fans did.

Those comments could just as easily apply to Liverpool as to Spurs

NOOOOO!!! Please no
KRAP (Keep Rodgers At 'Pool)
Young British manager, the next Shankley and all that. He needs more time. Pretty please.
Far as I can see, there's no news whatsoever on that front.
Actually, the latest stuff about 'Klopp' and 'Liverpool' in BILD is merely that they are reporting Liverpool fans are crying for Klopp after the Utd loss
The interview you cite is 10 days old I think, and none of what he says is a surprise.
Of course Klopp would like to coach Liverpool. Of course he isn't deterred by it being a 'project', not a established top club.
It's known he likes English football, he likes to speak in English and is flattered by the English media attention.
None of that means he's about to take over Liverpool, or that he wouldn't take another promising job if it becomes available.
Guess he's waiting to see what opportunities arise.

Re: Klopp's next gig
He's already appointed as Bayern's next coach. Pep will take another sabbatical next year and then succeed Pellegrini in 2017. Geez, so obvious.

I actually do think there's a good chance Klopp will take over Bayern, his sabbatical just fits so perfectly with Peps reluctance to renew...
Though I'm basing this assesment mostly on the assumption that someone like Klopp wouldn't usually take a sabbatical, despite never having met the man.
